Since the slowest tracking gun in the game, capital artillery, has 0.0018 tracking can we please limit the angular velocity reported on the over view to 4 significant figures?

part of ewar is turret disrupters.
changing it to 4dp would have problems with rounding turning negative boosted tracking to 0, so you cant hit anything,
Changing it to a negative number had the opposite effect of turning it into positive whilst the system calculated tracking.

OP says "reported on the over view to 4 significant figures", so if youre tracking actually is 0.0000004738395 it would be show in overview as 0.0000 but yours effective tracking would still be 0.0000004738395.

…or, hell, why not let the user choose. Let us, say, adjust the width of the column to cut off as many decimals as we like.

What's that? We already ca… oh dear.

*sigh*, point here is usability, EVE is full of things that can be done by pressing x then y then waving mouse then scrolling up and down. why not just round numbers abit here and there.
Horribly used floats are common in EVE, another fine example is wallet (this is actually viceversa example to tracking). After some market transaction you end up with thousand parts ISK meaning if you wanna empty youre wallet you allways need to leave 0.01 ISK in wallet (as the number shown is rounded but wallet probably is full 32/64/whatever bit float).

Tracking of 0.0001 should be enough for everyone(tm), this means that someone makes full circle around you in 17,5 hours. thats equivalent to someone orbiting you at 200km flying 20 m/s
