@Logi Kal
1) Re-download jEveAssets
2) Unzip
3) Double click on jeveassets.jar

If that does not work:
Read the readme.txt file about how to submit a bug report

I've been using jEveAssets for quite some time and I'm not really sure why I haven't posted in here before.

But, I just wanted to say thank you for an awesome piece of software. I use it daily and I'm not sure what I'd do without it.
Cudoz and a really good goddamn job :)

Hi There!

I am using jEveAssets shortly now and i am very happy with the tool.
Just a few things wich came up to me when using it:

There is a rather long refresh rate for the assets. Why is this? Is it forced by EVE or by the tool?

Also, it would be nice if there would be history for the different screens (Values, Materials, etc.).
That way it's easy to keep track of your assets value developping.
Is it possible to build such a feature in the next release?

That all for now.
Thanks for this great tool!

@BoBoTai
Update times are set by CCP, if you update before the time runs out you will get a cached result AKA no new data.

A value tracker is already on the issue list: New Tool: Values Tracker.

Thank you for your feedback and feature suggestion :)

Hi,

Firstly, thank you so much for this tool. It's awesome!

Can i however request an addition to the filters / groups please.

Can you put date in there somewhere? I would really love to be able to filter by date at times.

Thanks

Thank you for helping your fellow jEveAssets users :)

@Zerkovalo VII
You can already filter by date:
-Before
-After
-Equals date
-Does not equals date

Option 1:
You need to select a date column in the filter before the date filter types will be shown.
Ex.
[And] [Date-column] [After] [select your date]

Option 2:
1) Right click a cell in a date column.
2) Select "Add filter".
3) Select your date filter.

Thank you for your feedback. :)
I hope my reply is helpful to you...

Hi Mate, thank you for the reply. However I am in Assets and there is no way for me to add a column and I dont see Date anywhere

I am in the main screen. Am I supposed to be looking elsewhere? I apologise in advance if I am asking a really dumb question but its been and 18 hour day for me.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

There is no date column in the Assert Tool, that is true...
There is only date columns in the Market Orders and Industry Jobs Tools.

I do not know what date you would like in the assert tool - The API does not return any dates in the AssetList?

@Golden Gnu, Thanks, I thought I was drunk, blind and crosseyed.. i would love to be able to sort my assets by a date of some sort. Since there is no date data on the API, would it be possible to add a date stamp when downloading the data from the API?

@Zerkovalo VII
Possible: yes - and very simple!
But, if you update all your accounts the date stamp would be the same on them all?
How would you use it, in practice?
Please, explain it to me - so, I understand why it's useful :)

Sure.

Essentially I have chars that only buy stuff and other chars that only sell stuff and another couple of chars that I use to consolidate.

When consolidating, i sometimes forget to write down the total amount in certain stations displayed in jeve assets. Wheich then means that I have to go back to the last date I recorded the totals and use an average. Its not a very accurate way of tracking what I consolidated.

Now if jeve assets had a date of import stamp (because I only import once a day) then I could easily just filter by date.

Hope my attempt at explaining has not made you more confuzzled.

@Zerkovalo VII
I think I understand:
You want the date when the item was first included in the API update?
1) You update from the API.
2) Some items are new.
3) The new items get today's date.
4) Old items still have the date they was added.

It's better then nothing, but, it's not fool proof.
To identify items you use their itemID - it's the only way to know if an item was included in a previous update.
When you stack/move/pack/unpack items, they get a new itemID AKA old items can get a new itemID.
So, if you stack old and new items - all of them will be considered new and get the current date.
Also, when this feature is released it will set all dates to the current date (as we do not know when they was first added to the API).

I hope I understood you correct (English is not my first language).

I have added an issue with your request.
I think it will be included in the next feature release (It's pretty simple to add)

Thank you very much for you feature suggestion! :)

Small status update:
1) I have created a small (15 questions) user survey on SurveyMonky.
2) We have moved SVN to Google code. Thank you to Flaming Candle for hosting our SVN all those years!
3) I have written a small tutorial about how to compile jEveAssets from source. If anyone want to join the project please check it out. We are not just looking for programmers!

Awesome tool.

I'm wondering, is there any way to see my Grand Total including fitted things?
