The topic explains itself. The reason I want this is the tax rate, on wiki page Amarr Civil Service seems to have no tax at all(http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Amarr_Civil_Service_%28NPC_corporation%29). Dont know whether the webpage is accurate or not. I feel like I remember some npc corporations cannot be joined though? that might be the reason tax rate is 0.

All NPC corps that players can join should have a tax rate of 11%, the only way to get 0% tax is to create a tax dodging corp, like mine, for yourself.

On a side note if you leave your current NPC corp to join a player corp if you decide to leave the player corp you will not go back to your original NPC corp but another, which is determined by the bloodline you chose at character creation.

For example this character started in Republic Military School (starter corp), when I joined a player corp and left a while later I ended up in Brutor Tribe because my characters bloodline is Brutor.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Seems like I cant join amarr civil service then. I thought the npc corporation we are dumped into had something to do with our current system when we leave a player corporation. Thanks for your help

Each pilot starts in one of the learning schools in EVE (NPC corporation - 11% tax)

They can stay there or join:

- Player corporation
- NPC FW corporation (11% tax)

When ever you leave one of the above 2 you will automatically drop to a NPC corporation that is fixed by your race and bloodline which guess what has 11% tax.

So basically, you can't switch NPC corporations, there are only 3 joinable for you

1.) The NPC school you started in
2.) The NPC corporation for FW of your choice
3.) The default NPC corporation you end up when all others don't apply to you.

Nope, it matters for Race and Bloodline.

NPC FW corps are not taxed, the idea being is if you are serving for your faction then you aren't taxed. Then again you also don't get wardec protection either. All other NPC corps are taxed including Starting, and bloodline corps.
