Gallente ship coloring question

I didn't know where to put this, but I figured "Ships & ..." was the closest fit.

I started playing Eve a bit ago, and as I understand it, ship models had recently gotten a huge visual update with V3 textures/colors.

My question is about Gallente ships' colors: are they supposed to be green or a teal-blue color? Most ship models, presumably the older ones, have a well-defined green color, but the newer ones (and ones with new models, I guessed) all have a teal color (new drone dessie, Proteus, Talos, (new) Velator). Using this pattern, I'd expect the new Megathron and Atron models to have the teal color.

But if the color schemes were just updated, why go through all the trouble of making green Gallente ships when every one coming out ends up being teal? (Which I like, btw!)

Green Gallente ships, are you talking about the pirate faction Guardian Angels ships? Vigilant, Vindicator etc.

No, I'm referring to ships like the Brutix, Hyperion, Incursus, etc.

I'm either blind or misunderstanding you because both the older and newer Gallente ship models have the same dark teal colour in their skins to me.
