As you do more missions you will gain standing with that corp, after so many missions you will get a storyline mission that will boost your faction standing. Higher standing will give you access to higher level missions. So simply, do more missions, and when you get a storyline mission (an npc will eve mail you for "help") do them.



I am just thinking, on a few occasions I have received mail from an NPC asking for help and telling me to meet them at a location. Once I go to the location, it says "Not available to you" even when I try and start a convo it says, Sorry, but I only work with people I trust. They contact me, but still I cant do the mission? Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure your actually in the station that the mission giver is in. When you get a storyline the npc offering the mission will show up in the agent list in every station. They will generally say something like come meet me or something like that when you try to speak with them.

I didn't see it mentioned, but there are also skills that will help you increase your standings and get to the higher level missions. Look into the skills "Social" and "Connections".
