What is a Custom Overview?
I expect that most people are familiar with the function of the overview, and many of you will have already customized it for your own needs. My service consists of formatting and enhancing certain elements of the overview for both aesthetic and functionality purposes.

Perhaps the best way to demonstrate the visual change is with a screenshot.

What is included in an Overview Package?
Every package generated features the following:

  • Modified Ship Labels
  • Modified Overview Tab Labels
  • Six carefully designed overview profiles
  • Installation instructions

Here are some examples of overview packages created using the generator:

Standard Theme
Red Theme
Blue Theme - Video
Orange Theme - Video

Previously I crafted these packages manually. You can now create your own overview package using my Custom Overview Generator site. You can also choose one of the preset themes, if you like.

How much does it cost?
I previously charged for this service because the nature of the work was manual (I created the content by hand). However, now that the overviews can be generated automatically, I have decided to make the service free.

How does it work?
Please visit my Custom Overview Generator site and follow the instructions on the main page.

Once you have placed an order the package and instructions on how to import it will be sent to the e-mail address you provided.

50m ISK gets you the overview in the picture. Though, I would recommend that you at least browse the documentation to ensure that you don't run into problems that will take you longer to fix.

I cannot recommend the custom job enough, I find it pleasing to see my opponent in full fatty-font color coded goodness.

If you would love a colorful wealth of information bristling from your OV, or perhaps you just have trouble reading the terrible eve font in the heat of battle, this service will leave you with a grin on your face and a lump in your 3,000 AUR pantaloons.

Yes, this is possible. During the installation you will have the option to choose which profiles you import. If you simply want the formatted Ship Labels, you need only check the 'Global Overview Settings' box. The Overview Tab Labels are formatted in a different way and will also not conflict with the overview profiles you linked.

I would still recommend backing up your overview settings by making an up-to-date export, just in case.

Ordered the Standard Package, and very happy. Service was prompt, instructions for configuration clear and Liberty Prime was very helpful. If you can't be bothered (or value your time more than the effort required) to read up from the multiple sources how to set you overview for specific tasks then this is a steal at price.

When you choose to export your overview, the EvE client generates an external .XML file containing your overview data. This file can be modified, manually, and then re-imported into the game via the in-game overview menu.

It is actually possible to do the colors in-game, though, it is much easier to just modify the file.
