I gave a buddy some ISK one day while at a LAN party in which we were playing EVE for a bunch of guys that never tried it. He then bought me lunch...does that count?

Bounties for all! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2279821#post2279821

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the EULA as it pertains to selling in game items for profit is in violation of section 6.2.b of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms which states:"

" Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right
(b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province."

Now I'm not a lawyer and don't have the money (or isk) to play in Federal court but maybe somebody else does.

I interpret this as meaning that any citizen or permanent resident of Canada is entitled to make any lawful living if they live (or perhaps reside) in a Canadian province. Since CCP conducts business in Canada - ie they take Canadian dollars from a Canadian player which would mean they were bound by the laws of Canada.

I don't know much about other countries constitutions, but because the wording in the Charter is so specific "gaining of a livelihood" it may be enforcable.

Just a thought.

I basically skipped everything else to reply to this once i saw it.

The D3 community is not what i would consider "quality". Please don't go around spreading such misinformation. You are the equivalent of OPs brother.

D3 is a noob in the field in that regard. Look at Entropia.

You can sign up as a reseller to provide plexes to your web site visitors. But you'll need to find out the full details for yourself.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

Well that is just not true.

Look at all these sites selling GTCs...

You can trade isk for a GTC and then sell the GTC provided you are an approved distributor or what have you.

Nowadays they are still pronounced the same. They also mean the same thing- now serving sentences in 30 days or less!!! (Pizza Pizza).

Over 30 days and off to prison:)

Always was pronounced jail. Same with a bunch of other "olde" words that are spelled oddly.

For instance,
"y" was pronounced "th" in "ye"

Spelling standards were just weird (and not actually standard) at the time.

That's not how those sites work. They distribute GTCs on behalf of CCP. They get X dollars and give CCP X-Y dollars while the buyer gets a GTC. Buying a GTC with ISK then selling it skips the "giving CCP dollars" part of the transaction.

Correct...

But as far as I know buying GTC with isk is NOT against the rules.

Yes. But that's not what you said. You said:

Nobody, approved distributor or otherwise, is allowed to buy a GTC with ISK and sell it for real money.

Hi,

As the OPs question has been answered and this topic has derailed; I'm going to pop a lock on this now.

Thanks!
