This could be made even simpler and potentially more applicable.

At the moment, you can only set one default distance for your 'Orbit' or 'Keep at Range' in the 'Selected Item' window. So, for instance, if you are in an interceptor, you may want to set this to 19km in order to be within your 24km point range (mitigating the MWD speed of your ship). Now, jump into a Cruiser and your orbit needs to be shifted to 21-23km (depending again on your Cruiser's speed), in order to maintain the ~24km point distance from your selected target. You can right-click onto your ‘Orbit’ button and then type in the distance manually, so it again becomes a one-click selector but it still leaves you with that one option only.

What if there were more options for you to set in the default distance for both 'Orbit' and 'Keep at Range'? Say 5 or so? You can input/edit them all at any stage and they would become available in a drop-down menu if you right-click over the 'Orbit' or 'Keep at Range' buttons in the 'Selected Item' window.

This would allow for a variety of different distances to be utilised for different ships and different situations on top of the current default distances that only go up to 30km.

Y'all do know that you can use control-alt-left/right to switch active target?

And that you can hold W and click a target, bracket, or overview entry (maybe even watchlist, not sure) to orbit at your currently selected range.

+1 to the better orbit distance UI. I like both Warde Guildencrantz's multi text box suggestion and Strata Maslav's key combination suggestion.
