We've found gas clouds, decryptors, faction loot and all kinds of goodies in hisec exploration sites. Sometimes six or seven sites in a single system as well.

The trick is simple: Look for an out of the way systems with no stations. People are generally lazy, you see, and rarely bother to check in places where they can't immediately dock up. Dead end systems are also good, as nobody goes there except for the people savvy enough to put their player corporation offices there.

Don't you think it's a bit circular?

The only people that go to the out-of-the-way, empty systems are... explorers, which kind of defies the whole point, doesn't it?

I'll agree with Mio. Explorers are attracted to systems with low numbers of players so its not always a good way to find sites. Its very hard to find places which regularly tend to have sites so when you do find them don’t tell anyone. Exploration is all about competition, tell others to go to the quiet systems with all the other explorers.

If you have in your hands the key to the fulfillment of your life's ambition and superiority over most, if you are aware that there is an absolute power on hand (just over the basic moral principles) how far are you willing to go and through what you are willing to tread?

Oh I'm sure its possible. But the odds are so slim its not worth mentioning.

You forget this is EveO. People ONLY talk about the best and most awesome finds. They don't talk about empty cans in that complex, they don't talk about their T2 shiny getting popped by a couple red-cross frigates, and they don't talk about hours on end spent running plexes for just some bits of worthless salvage.

Rare is the new norm.

I'm not the one that sucks at probing then. Covering 30 systems an hour isn't unreasonable if you know exactly what you're doing.

Yep. I used to cover Lonetrek 3-4 times in an evening (2-3 hours). The last couple times are a lot faster if you keep track of sig IDs.

I love exploration. I think that if you don't enjoy exploring then you should find another profession. Find something you enjoy doing and do it. It's a game. Go do something fun! Ya dig?

Highsec exploration just suffers from market forces. It is very easy and very safe so lots of people do it, often very quickly. This leads to the drops being oversupplied so thier value is less. Still the combat sites/deds can give good loot and people focussed on finding/completing those as quickly as possible make good isk. Still if you want to get rich quick doing explo you need to go to lo sec and take some (very limited) risks.

Hi sec gas clouds are rather easy to find (in the relative regions) as no one harvests them as they are worth considerably less than ore.
