how about you give us industrial pilots a little break and bump the moon mining and reaction system limitations to .4 even better move it to .5

or at least move the reaction system limits up to .5 so that the low/null moon miners have more customers to sell there materials to?

Instead of "industrial pilots a little break", what you mean to say is "How about you give us hisec industrial pilots a little break, because currently we have it so incredibly tough compared to nullsec industrialists?"

U crazy, dawg.

I would support this mostly to just make 0.4 space worth something lol. Currently it is pretty useless for a good portion of industry.

Want to do reactions to to nullsec. Highsec isn't supposed to have low/nullsec features.

No problem expanding it to 0.4s, 0.5s no way.

0.4 systems would be acceptable. It's still low-sec space and rules just like 0.3 so I dont' see what the difference really would be other than more systems would open up to allow for more POS's to go up.

It's hilarious how people think that for some reason in 0.4 their mining towers won't be eliminated just like they would be in 0.3. If you can defend a tower in 0.4, you can just as likely defend one in 0.3. And vice versa, if you can't take a 0.3 moon, you wouldn't be able to take a 0.4 either.

Current system works great and doesn't need to change.

By not having moon goo available in .4 systems it means there is less interest in these systems which gives players a place to do PI, mine and run missions in low sec with less worries about traffic or groups "owning" the system. By making moon goo available in .4 systems would mean pirates / corps / alliances would then have interest in "controlling" these systems and keeping players out.

This also means that there really wouldn't be much more moon goo available even with hundreds of new moons becoming available as anything good would simply be taken over for people who allready control .3 and lower systems around in the area (or who can take and hold moons in general).

If you are not willing to travel into a .3 system or lower for this venture you do not deserve the gains you get with the risk involved.

sorry but I dont agree that the system should be changed. I dont want more competition.

It is not the issue of being able to defend it. It is that all profitable moons are taken. It is much easier to defend a POS than take one out to steal the moon. Not to mention the added danger of the retribution from bashing someone else's POS.

Opening up 0.4 space to moon mining would add a lot of systems and a ton of new moons to the mix. Of course it would not be long before all the "good" moons would be taken by large alliances like they are now. But at least there would be a few more to go around.

Also considering that most systems bordering high sec are 0.4, logistics would be a lot easier on a reaction tower as you only have one gate to worry about. I believe this is why it is currently 0.3 and lower. They wanted reaction towers and moon mining to be in lawless space, not one quick gate jump from high sec.

On a side note: I have heard there are a lot of tech moons in high sec. Not that you will even be able to mine them, but I wonder if the reason some lower tier moon minerals seem rarer than they should be is because the distribution of the moons is galaxy wide without differentiation between high/low/null. Perhaps some moon types are rarer than they should be because A higher number of those moons ended up in high sec during the distribution.

you do know that 1 jump into lowsec does not mean the system is 0.4 sec status right? there are also jumps from high direcly into 0.0

I agree that most .4 systems are useless. I do not agree that moon mining in a .4 would be any more valuable to the small industrialist then .3

the logistics ease of one high to low sec jump is important but i disagree that it would help small industrialists that much more when you have hundreds of nullsec alliance members farming lowsec moons.

there is also a high probability of CCP rebalancing .4 moons to be less valuable then .3 on the whole if they ever did open them to mining. so the point would be moot.

Reactions on the other hand i can see being added to .4's with mo problem, currently there is very little reason to place a tower in a .4, much less fight over them. adding reactions to them would make it slightly more lively space.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
