Logged in all day today, left for 30 mins come back to log in and eve is telling me it requires an update. 6mb update i thought shouldn't be one today oh well install the update. And what happens next its requiring me to download an extra 1.5gig update fine. after that the launcher decides to throw an exception every time i try to start it EVE.exe says its an invalid version the repair tool decided it needed an update and downloaded a file called Repair.EXE6QR_50 "wtf is that" so I renamed the repair tool ran it and it says everything is fine except its skipping the check on the launcher and eve wont let me update anything.

Now what the crap is that all about.

Probably I just don't understand why it wanted and update when it was already updated and working fine.. reinstalling now anyway.

Probably got corrupted when you logged off for some reason.
You do run Windows?
You May have other software damage on you PC as well.
When's the last time you re-formatted?

ya I run windows sadly. I haven't reformatted in a while don't have anywhere to store the important files atm need to invest in another tb hard drive.

Tried clearing the cache, the down-loader from the site fails. and when I do finally get the launcher to open it try to do the update gets half way through the download and says the download has become corrupt.

got a better laptop coming soon. just need hp to ship it. almost a month to ship a custom laptop....

trying the download on a different connection atm see if that helps.

still didn't work even on a completely different internet connection says the download has been corrupt bout half way through it. gana try to force the download of the main installer..
