You can't.

and please don't start discussing wether or not that's a good idea, it's been done to death. The only thing you can do to avoid showing up in local is going to w-space, in which case you won't show up untill you speak.

To not show up on overview, to not be visible on grid, to be unprobable, to be unlockable.

Why would everyone leave if just one guy is hostile? TBH, a good number of folks would probably stick around hoping he takes a shot at them, so they can blow him away.

And now you have touched upon one of the oldest and most openly hostile debates in the EVE-O forums.

Some people want cloaks to be nerfed (because OMG... there is someone in system and we can't take action against them RITE NAO!!)...
Some people want local to be removed (or at least delayed) from more areas of the game (which causes a firestorm of criticism because almost everyone has become reliant on it for intel and "there needs to be something just as good as local intel before local is removed")...

All that said... Stealth Ships aren't useless and can do some things that few other ships can do.
- you can scout ahead and get past gate camps unmolested
- you can can get sneaky warp-ins for the rest of your gang/fleet without a target knowing
- as part of a "shadow fleet" (fleet composed of cloaking recons, stealth bombers, and regular interceptors) you can melt any large ships that you cross paths with and avoid everything else.
- "Black-ops" gangs are quite hard to pull off... but when done right you can melt targets you wouldn't ordinarily get a chance to shoot at.

I don't even use local. I have the tab minimized and pinned just above my Overview. That is only to see how many are in a system when I enter.

The information that others gather from that means absolutely nothing to me. It takes up too much real estate and furthermore the jabber on that thing is just that...jabber.

I play the same way upon entering a system. I play the same way moving through a system. No matter if it's 1.0 or 0.0 ( not that I have even been to lo-sec yet but that's beside the point), I assume every gate is camped with 20 bubbles and every number in that local is the worst enemy in the game.

Given that...Any information that could be gained from that thing is nullified. Unless you are actually looking for someone in particular and even then you should have scanned them for their current ID. Otherwise, you are not a very good Assassin to start with.

Assume the worst and prepare against the best.
Minimize the tab and f the rest.

Considering the return of "remove local" and "afk cloaking" discussions in GD, y'all may be posting in a troll thread.

Ahhh...Noted.
I see now, that this is somewhat of a heated tennis match throughout the community.
