Warp Disruptor Range

I keep seeing in videoes people war disrpting at 40-42km with WD II - how is that possible? Is there a rig or something that has increased WD range or an implat?

look into modules known as 'gang links', they are modules that are used by battle cruisers to boost certain aspects of a gangs attributes, which include web/scram/point ranges.

specialist ships (tech3 cruisers and tech 2 BC) can boost a normal link 50%+ more than a non specialist battle cruiser using their bonuses and a specialist implant.

Gallente Recon ships get 20% range to warp disruptor range per recon ship level.
These ships are the Arazu und the Lacheses. The Proteus has a subsystem for that.

This situation will "soon" be remedied according to the devs. The tech III boosts will either be the same or less than a command ship's boost. And the system wide boost mechanic will be gone. I very much would love to see that in December's patch. But no word yet.

In the future it will be an on-grid boosting ship (probably a claymore) supplying the link that increase the range on point and web mods. It should thus be identifiable and easy to target. However, not easy to kill, but at least not requiring many minutes of painstaking probing on a max skilled and equiped prober (who may well end up warping to empty space anyway if the boosting alt is running his directional scan with a modicum of frequency).

Also there are faction points and webs that have more range.

The real kicker atm is having Loki boosts, faction propulsion disruption mods, and a max-skilled bonused ship like a Lachesis. Some amazing range can be created. It will likely stay that way. But at least all the factors that go into that range will be on-grid to see and attempt to destroy.

Which is a good thing for the game. And I'm speaking as a character with every available leadership sp trained.Smile

A T2 disruptor gets a range of 36.7km/43km with Loki skirmish boosts. A Faction 30km point gets 45.8km/53.8. And as people said, bonused points go even farther.

96km T2 with heat and 107 with heat for faction disruptor +lachesis+reccon 5skill+boost if my numbers are exact.
