I've always used them. I even have T2 mining drone rigs fitted. I think they are very underrated. However, if you are doing multiple miners, they can be a pain. But in general, they take care of a rock and require no real work to use.

If you need a profit incentive, run some drones for a bit to find out how much yield you can get out of them in an hour and then enter it into my mining tab in IPH. Over an hour it can bring in a few extra mil isk.

I never bother with them for reasons others have mentioned here & I always advise new players not to bother with them either.

Their sp & time is much better spent in other area's of training first.

This is very bad advice and you should feel bad for giving it.

I've found mining drones to be ineffective against Angels, so I don't use them, no.

well I wouldn't use the T1s, at least not if you can simply mine in two retrievers as I've found I do better output with them instead. Maybe when I can use T2s and have my other miner more skilled up, I'll try it again :)

I was wondering how many people use drones when mining, seems like I rarely see them, and from what I can tell, result in a very small increase yield compared to other means of increasing mining output. Maybe a medium or heavy mining drone might be useful at some point, Any thoughts?

They save me about 2 Cycles when filling the Orca. Not much but that accumulates over time.

Agreed. They were a Godsend when I was still doing it with an Osprey at first.
