Warr Akini and I have journeyed down from our mountain of dead freighter wrecks to bring Goonswarm's love to Empire in a more familiar form. We have made our mark ganking 200+ freighters for 1.75 trillion isk in destruction. We were able to outgank Burn Jita (515b) both months. Last year, Goonswarm involved our whole blue list in a campaign that proved we could cripple gallente ice supply by ice hitting miners all throughout gallente space. We saw the impact on fuel costs, most of you made some money, and the pain we sowed upon greater pubdom was deep and lasting. We proved we could take the kneecaps off everyone in eve. Let’s go for round two.

Why:
Because people need Gallente Fuel blocks. People love their Oxytope-using quasi-French/Greek capitals, not the least of which are the Nyx and the ever-reliable Rorqual. There are several active wars across New Eden, and just about every nullsec entity has cast their lot. What better way to **** on our foes in nullsec than to cripple their pubbie pos fuelers in high/lowsec? Another reason is that we decided to see what would happen if we as a single SIG spent 4-5 days just ganking mackinaws, orcas, and retrievers. As a result of just 5 days of Miniluv-ONLY ganks (18 orcas, 110 exhumers, 80 retrievers, 90 pods: 70bil destroyed total), Oxygen Isotopes have gone up 87.5% from 400isk/u to 750sk/u, sometimes spiking even higher.

Where:
Blue Ice is found in 17 highsec systems in EVE. Of those, 15 are frequented by ice miners regularly (the other two are deep "island" systems) and can be roughly divided into two areas. Miniluv has spent the last week seeding ship caches with thrashers and catalysts, as well as sorting offices in cloning stations, and testing fits for ganking Mackinaws and Hulks in 0.5, 0.6, and 0.7 space. This thread and the relevant wiki pages (linked below) will collect all of this information and provide Goons with the tools they need to do violence to supply side of the Oxytopes market.

Our major "market" bases will be in Lirsautton and Odixie, and alliance marketeers are encouraged to stock the tools of destruction: Thoraxes, Brutixes, Thrashers, the fabulous Catalyst, and the various mods which are the tools of the suicide gank.

Goonswarm itself will be covering the Lirsautton pocket: all Goonswarm allies who want to participate should cover the Tolle pocket. Since we want 100% coverage, you can leave your pocket if it's overcrowded - just check around it first before leaving. Membercorps and squads can and should choose a "home" system: we want complete lockdown.

The two systems in the "unimportant" category have much lower activity, but we suspect that activity there will increase dramatically after a week or two, as well as in lowsec, Syndicate, Solitude, and Outer Ring. At that point we will turn our focus there, delivering death teams to isolated islands via carrier and sending Goons prowling through lowsec ice systems or infiltrating ice-mining corps with spies.

Who:
You! Well, maybe. As you know, we have an ongoing campaign in Tribute which is our strategic priority. For the time people, people actively fighting in Tribute should stay there -- don't move to empire just to gank Mackinaws. Do, however, bring alts, 10-hour heros, and anything else you can spare to help out, IF you can do so without affecting the war effort.

A ****** alt with low skills who couldn't pull off a Thorax gank solo can easily do it with 1-2 partners, and this lets us involve newbees and use alts while our combat mains are off in Tribute or wherever. Do this!

When:
Right now. We're going to maintain this for at least a two weeks: the goal is to drain Jita of even the most absurdly priced Oxytopes. Fifty million units of Oxytopes are used each day, so as we keep blue ice belts empty the universe will start exhausting its (now hideously overpriced) stockpiles. We’ve already been able to put a dent in the Mackinaw and Orca population, even with the buff to exhumers (thought you’d stop us with that buff, didn’t you CCP?). There will be a constant influx of new pubbies wondering why Oxytopes are so expensive and figuring they'll mine some and be rich, so we anticipate that these 15 systems will remain a target-rich environment for some time.

What To Do When You Encounter Resistance

Some pubbies learn. Unfortunately, they don't learn the lesson they should be learning: to get the **** out. They will attempt to resist: either through running remote reps, running ganglinks on their orcas and tanking their macks and hulks, or other methods to attempt to stay put. This cannot be tolerated. If you find you're unable to gank something, pipe up in the miniluv channel and get a crew together to kill it, or get someone to bring a facefuck dominix or the like. Those who refuse to bend will be broken.

Seriously CCP why do you allow this?

Actually I was thinking just the opposite. I was pis*** about all the nerfing going on (and this is a post for another day but I fundamentally disagree w/ Poetic on the new crimewatch + killrights thing) and I have never been a big fan of mittens toolishness... or the goons as a whole for that matter... but thank the lords of kobol that they still have the cohones to do this. Their ice interdiction scheme REQUIRES an organization of that magnitude... few others could pull it off and they are actually doing it! I mean, if that's not a testament to how great this game can be I don't know what is. Really, for the average pod they should still have objections to the ganking nerf... but really to me the takeaway was that the goons got sucked into this game. They came here from the SA forums w/ the intent to destroy the game. ...and now? You know what? I think the goons love EvE. So don't take this as an attack on the player base. The goons little ice interdiction game is their own unique way of saying "I love you". You should be thankful you ungrateful bastard...

Poetic? Why aren't you a Goon yet? You ingratiate yourself so much it's sickening.

skiffs require you to actually be paying attention because they don't have giant ore holds that let you walk away and AFK.

Yes 23-21 Minutes is a very short time. CCP needs to buff Mackinaw tanks so that people don't have to put up with that nightmare.
