I'm kinda curious what the oldest active corp in New Eden would be. And the oldest active alliance.

Does anyone have a clue?

Taggart Transdimensional and Evolution are good contenders for that title. Both a poor shadow of their former glory, but still active I think.

edit: damn! to think it's close to a decade ago Ugh

I know both my alliance and corp are pretty old, but I doubt either are the oldest active corp or alliance in the game.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Imperium Technologys was around in the beta and as far as I know, are still active.
Most of the original members went off to Sodalitas XX I believe.

A solid investment right there.

If they're still active then oldest corp would be Colossus Technologies. Oldest alliance not sure, I know Ushra'Khan have been around since about '04 though.

At first I thought earliest date recorded for any corp is 2003.05.30 - Both PIE Inc. and Imperium Technologies had been founded then..
Now I saw MASS (founder corp of the Stain Empire) is one day older.. but they look inactive.

Interestingly, the alliances CVA and Stain Empire were founded at the same minute (2004.11.30 11:39) .. so I assumed thats some technical reason.. until I saw Ushra'Khan was founded 5 days earlier.. oh well.

The reason CVA and SE are created around the same time is because CCP introduced Alliances (as we have them today) in the Exodus expansion (November 17, 2004). Before then the concept of "alliance" was purely a word of mouth kind of thing.

Ran some queries in my databases, and the first corporation to be formed not counting NPC is Game Masters and C C P.

First what looks to be player corporation is Caldari Inquisitors which was formed 2003-05-07, however it looks inactive.

Both of the next two were founded 2003-05-12 20:19 (I don't really know how creation worked back then with the dates etc)

Next up is Harbinger Heavy Industries which actually do have pilots with faces so that looks active in some way.

And after that Matari BackBone which has a lot more members and seem to be active.

As to these days in general, it could also be that information from back then is a bit distorted so they might not be 100% accurate, I know that employment history of pilots are known to be screwed way way back when there was many corporations involved.

I would think something was done during DT for those two, seeing as their creation date is during what would be normal DT period back then. So it could have been a manual creation for them in some way.

Or the same alt spy that created them both haha it is possible to time values if you do it well - like how I did with my two first Alliances Lol

The CVA was an alliance before there were alliances. Ushra'Khan didn't exist until alliances became official game mechanics. UK was formed by the corps that made up the PRM (People's Republic of Minmatar)... horrid name I know.

If the Curse Alliance was still around, it would be the oldest nullsec alliance iirc, followed by the Stain Alliance, Xetic/Immensea Federation, and CFS.

There were a couple of northern alliances before xetic was thought of.

Stain and Curse are the alliances I remember in Summer 2003 - when HED-GP wasn't where it is now, then again nor was anything else down south :D

This toon was born 5-11-03 but my info doesn't reflect my "birthday" properly, even though I have tried several times to get it fixed CCP says it is not possible to do so, but if I do an info on myself my proper birthday is shown.?

This toon also still holds the corp it created 6-02-03, my corp is still active (but very small) it's not the oldest but it has to be in the top 1000.. Right..?? :D

P.S. CCP fix my damn birthday already..!! :p
