Can't resist....this is my favorite type of people. If you aren't here at the beginning of the game, you will NEVER be a vet. LOL Talk about bitter old vets gone wild!!

I know, in the spirit of the thread I am supposed to argue with you but I agree. As an '05 EVE player I consider myself to be a Vet. Not a beta player but in many ways we have been playing Dust 514 beta since Dominion so there are plenty of Vets. (It's when the Sov stopped being about moons and started being about planets, in preparation for our free to play over lords)

'03 Vets have no experience with Capitals I don't have, They weren't in the game.
They knew EVE when it didn't have Concord. That should prove useful.
Even a lot of my Vet experience is useless. I knew how to avoid an AoE doomsday. So?
I know how to get around warp to 15km off the gate. And that helps me how?

To the OP, the question isn't really why we complain but why are we so bitter?
Get back to me in 5 or 6 years if you are still here.

You all know, no matter how much we deny it, the game is slowly dieing. The amount of people on during the week is barley topping 30k, now with EvE and the amount of systems, this is simply not enough players.

So why is it when CCP try to *dumb down* and make high sec *safer* for new players

You all start complaining like children?

Grow up, do you want EvE to dissapear or don't you care? We need more players, alot more players.

Quit your moaning

Aren't you moaning about it by posting this? Sorry if someone else has pointed this out, but i cant be bothered to read through all the pages of moans *grumble grumble grumble*

Beta-vet here. EVE has always had CONCORD (though since then they've had more buffs than Mr. Miyagi's car). Especially the Yulai incident was a big eye-opener for CCP.

Eve's system actually makes it so older players drive away newer players, instead of attracting. Where newer players are more of the "product" instead of the "consumer".

Now a few players stay, probably, but most of the new players will cancel their subscriptions and leave without a second thought. this makes the subscription base less volatile, but also MUCH smaller.

Is this a good or bad business model?

Agreed. Something needs to be done about these guys who just sit forever in NPC corps and tell new players that they can never succeed by taking any risks. They're a cancer.

Sad to say but true, Eve is a bit boring at the moment (last 18months)

Gee, wonder why.
When most of null is blue to one another. Yes, I know you are fighting PL, and the goons are fighting NC.
But fundamentally, there is far more peace in null than there was 18 months ago.

lolwut? Virtually all of sov space is involved in the current conflicts. And NPC 0.0 is as full of the old ultraviolence as it ever was.

Caused by the ease and low cost of the extreme projection of power and logistics. Without it alliances would be forced to fight their neighbors again, instead of curb-stomping some small alliance on the other side of the galaxy with their NAP-train (who will just run and hide, ofcourse).

A big increase in the consumption of jump-fuel for capitals would solve a LOT of problems in null, low-sec and even empire, because many of them are directly or indirectly related to the excessive power-projection of (super)capitals and the ridiculous low-cost, low-risk, low-effort logistics of jump-freighters.

But it's a foul-tasting medicine that CCP will sadly never force upon the null-bears.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Let me get this straight.

CCP created a sandbox game. Player driven game play, player driven economy, player driven war, player driven industry and so on...

So now the players are driving it into the ground and it's somehow CCP's fault?

ROFL!
