Seeing as both sides of the final bit of the engagement are grudgingly corroborating the sequence of events I have conclude that there is enough truth to it to set aside some of the more political talking points. If the casualty numbers are accurate this is a tragedy. Even if they are not accurate, there must still be quite a bit of horror on the planet and I suggest aid be sought from the Sisters of EVE. If individual capsuleers wish to assist, coordinate efforts through the SOE as they are perhaps the clusters largest organization that has proven quite willing and able to help anyone in need rather than politicize a disaster.

The moment you can point to any case where I blasely write off the deaths of millions of people because they are Matari or Gallente or Caldari or just not Khanid, I'll take your 'I know you are but what am I?' response as a reason for sober introspection.

Leopold Caine, I find your information to be faulty. Planetary estimates of damages barely clear a few trillion credits, of whatever the standard is out there, and I can't be bothered to translate that to isk. The majority of the carrier wreck was torn apart in the atmosphere or by various defenses before impact. I can understand your confusion though, as the debris cloud did cover quite a swath of the planet. You probably need a new slave in charge of fact checking these things.

While the damage was minimal in comparison to the three million lives lost figure, there is the loss of life of the crew, some three to seven thousand souls-ish. As well as several tens of thousands affected on the planetary surface, either by injury or death or resultant 'natural' disasters when parts of a ship crash, super heated, into an ocean. Perhaps even a few hundred thousand are in some way effected.

No, not anywhere near, three million dead. Simply put you're grossly over exaggerating the cost in human lives for whatever your own reasons are. Perhaps your investigation of Boma will prove more.... reliable.

Also, I did not note any planetary relief ongoing from the stations to the crash site, so either it has already been completed to the point of saturation, or is another falsehood. Would you care to comment to the public at large? if not I will find my way over to speak with you at some time in the future.

I'd be lying if I said my thoughts were with the baseliners, but it's an intriguing bit of ant-hivery on the surface. Nice kill by the way, I'm not sure Stillwater see's that many capitals on their killboards.

Mr Caine made an estimation on the amount of casualties based on the information gathered by his ships sensors. His sensors and logs indicated the wreck of the carrier was heading towards densely populated areas of Akila V. However we have reason to believe the logs were misinterpreted or inaccurate.

As I speak, The Salvation wing of Stillwater is investigating this incident and any reports on planet side casualties. We dispatched some planetary vehicles and light vessels to get more accurate details.
As soon as we can give out any more information regarding the exact collateral damage and casualties we will make reports of it.

I apologize on behalf of Leopold Caine for the inaccurate information that has been given out earlier.
