Hello ! What is your favorite Gallente/Caldari ship for solo pvp?

If you don't solo much, than for SMALL GANG PVP.

Having a hard time choosing ship for pvp since I havent played eve for 2years.

If it's just "Best" then a cloaky Proteus might be your thing. Allows you to easily select targets as well as have the gank to kill them. They're only about 2b a pop in a PVP fit.

If price is a factor there are many other viable choices.

Harpy, Hawk, Talos, Caracal Navy Issue, Tengu, Drake and Dominix. I use to like the Myrmidon, but not so much anymore. Otherwise I would include it.

Cormorant, Merlin, Condor, Incursus, Atron and Griffin. This is, of course, assuming you're doing FW, where you can actually field frigates and not get laughed at. I've seen all of the above do pretty damn well in solo PvP.

And if you've got Gallente and Caldari trained up, I might even suggest the Gila. I've seen some people use those to astonishing effect.

Tons of good choices, but if I was going to pick my personal favorite out of the lot, it has to be the Ferox. I don't care what anyone says, that ship is just damn fun.

I lied :o

Care to elaborate what exactly this fun part is for you? Just curious. Especially compared to a Brutix. Also: blasters or rails?

I don't have his reasons, but probably because you can put a more reliable shield tank on it, and it's less suceptible to kiting.

It doesn't have a wasted bonus in the armour rep amount (and lets face it, few people these days solo in slow armour ships). It has a bonus to shield resists, it has the optimal range, making it less kitable, and it has 1 more mid, giving it either more utility, or tank. It has lower damage, but still, so much else going for it.

In before the BC with 4 Falcon alts solo pvp win comments...

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I really had fun in the Phobos and Arazu/Lachesis for fleetfights.

Lately I really like the Incursus.

Hookbill since I didn't notice it mentioned yet. That's assuming you're using it for FW or RvB.
