I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

It's no surprise that they want to send us off as far away as possible so that they can carebear in peace, but I'm committed to remaining in empire and preventing them from doing that very thing for as long as I am able to. I will continue to do this right up to the point when high-sec aggression is removed entirely, at which point I will close my subs.

The only utility null has for me is to let me regain some sec status if I dip too low. It's not even good for moneymaking because I can make much more in high-sec or wormholes for the same amount of time invested, at a fraction of the risk.*

That is what CCP is trying to address with this retribution. As a ganker in high sec you have no risk now. You operate with a known cost your ship. But you do not lose that ship until you pull the trigger on a target. And you do not do that until you know you have a great profit which includes the loss of your ship. So as you already said high sec has no risk for you, yet.

While CCP may not get this right on the first try, they seldom do, it will eventually work itself out as CCP patches it a number of times. Sort of like the UI changes. If at first you do not succeed try try again. And that they do quite well. That is why I am not that worried about the problems with this retribution. It is a move in the right direction which will get ironed out over time.

If you can't address the contents of a post instead of throwing around ad hominems, then maybe you should leave posting to the big boys who can.

I'm not shitposting.

oh ffs.

I said YOU as in the collective - nullsec zealots who **** on everything and everyone : aka Goons - let's shitpost and crash this gig because we don't want this guy to have an opinion that is not in line with ours. THAT kind of YOU.

Firstly, you're an fn Goon - your view is tainted and suspect straight up.

In addition, you've shitpoasted all over me before and thus my view of anything you have to say is rather err.... tainted. I have dared to challenge the mighty ZIM - you can't handle it. Deal with it.

That's the price you get to pay when you believe, beyond doubt, that you're without fault. If you want to debate, discuss and move forward then fine. Otherwise, post on your highsec char so my dim view of your obvious bias might not be so, shall we say, set.

So, ad hominem it is, then. I'll just take that as final confirmation that you have nothing to back up your statement that I'm "protecting" any specific "self-interests", and that you've got nothing to back up your claims that I've made suggestions which "forces" anyone to move anywhere.

This isn't even remotely rooted in reality.

I don't understand why it's so hard for you to define which "self-interests" I'm "protecting", or even why it's so hard for you to tell me which suggestions I've made which "forces" anyone to move anywhere.

Your opinion of goons is invalid until you post with a high-sec alt that agrees with me.

God this thread is ridiculous.

I have been playing this game for a very long time. I have been in Null Sec fighting wars, I have been in WH space ratting and killing, I have been in Low Sec preying on the little guys and I have also been in High Sec missioning, trading and pissing on roids. About the only thing I haven't done is Faction Warfare. Through all that there is one thing I have learned...

You aren't going to balance things for one group without stepping on the toes of another. CCP is not going to be able to make everybody in the game happy. Frankly, it is their game and their decision to make. Bottom line...if you don't like a change...then don't let it effect you. Adapt or move on to something else. I have been in EVE through thick and thin...I always adapted or did something else for a while. I was pissed with the Haven/Sanctum changes in Null Sec so I moved to WH space...now I am back in Null Sec 9 months later.

These changes aren't going to be the end of EVE. People will adapt and still find ways to effectively kill each other in High Sec. Yes...these changes make it easier for the carebears in High Sec. If the changes ultimately hurt the game then CCP will adjust them to compensate. They always have.

Goons are well known for being horrible people who have never done anything good. So obviously we need to disregard the opinions of goons out of hand because they are foul, corrupted individuals with shards of ice where the rest of us have human hearts.

Maybe if your malformed opinion actually had a leg to stand on and you didn't just resort to blind hatred of a group of people you clearly don't know anything about you'd find yourself making a more convincing argument.

To lazy to read the 33 pages to see if this got put to rest, but I am dead set against kill rights being both front loaded, and generating a suspect flag.

It should be the way it is now, were having an active kill right on someone toggles a LE. Would make bounty hunters actually get to be bounty hunters, not some justice watchtower calling out bad guys for the locals to dog pile.

Move to low sec, you don't care that much about flags over there and if station/gate guns bother you just move to null sec, it's a free to shoot who you want, when you want, the way you want and with who you want.

Seems WH's are also very interesting, there's no Concord over there, no local, no noobs, no high sec carebears and afk miners (all bots of course!! )

I already live in low-sec. Guns don't bother me, I'm looking forward to having to deal with them less though of course.

I will easily admit that the two changes I'm against will have little effect on me, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on the matter. Take it as you will, it's just the way I see it. Doesn't mean it's right, but neither does it mean it's wrong.

I'm more concerned about the retention of existing subscribers whose gameplay is likely to be negatively impacted. Most specifically the people who live in highsec most of the time but roam lowsec as their thing they do for PVP. Those guys are put in the worst possible position. I mean, I have 884 kills, almost all of them in highsec yet I've never done anything that resulted in a character having kill rights on me so it's not my problem, but it sure will be a problem for those guys.

The idea of actually giving a crap about how other people's gameplay may be negatively impacted by a change in mechanics might be an alien concept to the carebears though, I don't really expect them to understand.

I am already assembling a crew to exploit this new system and use the mechanics to kill even more bears than before.

Needs quite a few logis, and ships to swap into though :) Think it through-we should be able to kill even more people than before. If we do it right-people will be terrified to ever shoot at a suspect. Going to take maybe a hundred players exploiting the suspect flag thing though to instill proper fear and respect.

Hmmm
