Why?

When does one more light make a difference, or perhaps 3 mediums over 5 lights and the spare.

Nah. That is not really important question.

The important question is why Stabber has a drone bay that holds one light scout drone. Now, that is a truly useless drone bay.

Cyclone has 40m3 drone bay, 8 light scouts, 4 medium scouts. Too many lights, not enough mediums for full flight.

Try running the numbers for odd sizes with mixed flights. A 40m3 drone bay reads to me as 3 mediums and 2 lights. Should be more dps than 4 mediums anyway.

True 'dat. I sometimes use them to draw fire from the rats. While they shoot the drones, I don't need to worry about being shot.
