This night is so weird you know, butt is sore, I have these red spots on you know what and my right ear doesn't hear as well as the left, like wtf? Crazy **** is happening and only trace I have is some weird "booster" transaction in my records?

Yes, If you interview with ISD and the interview is deemed as good, then your account is scanned by CCP who can veto our decision.

If that all comes back as good, then you're invited to join to join ISD subject to a trial period.

ISD members are never permitted to 'go scorched earth' from the lowliest Ensign (ie recruit) to Vice Admiral (the highest ISD position).

Even then, after passing your trial, there are still checks and balances. I can, will and have undone moderator actions that I have been deemed unnecessary. Anyone above/same me can do the same to me and anyone below me are welcome to report my actions to a superior.
And so it goes, all the way up the chain.

We don't take this stuff lightly!

It's funny that I've never been banned. I think I had a post locked or deleted once, but that was when I complained about the limit of 60 seconds between reporting posts. It's terribly unfair that trolls can post a dozen "PLEX are crashing" (or whatever "rant du jour" is this minute) posts a minute, but I can only report one of them for spam.

But then, I actually try to be civil and cordial, even when I'm telling someone that I think they smell like poo and have the intellectual capacity of a nudibranch. The common thread with all these threads critical of ISD performance is that they are posted by people who display the emotional maturity of a cow pat.

So please, grow up. Learn to discuss the issues important to you in a manner that doesn't remind people of a monkey flinging its own faeces. Then perhaps people will talk to you instead of laughing at you.

I can't help but think of a forum course set up.

Like those shooter courses, where the bad guys as well as innocent bystanders pop up and you have to shoot the bads, and skip the innocents.

I think in the forum course CCP set up, the ISD applicants that lock the bads and miss the innocents, get sent to the industrial and fittings part of the forums. Those that just lock indiscriminatley, since someone posted while the applicant ISD was drinking coffee or something that interrupted them, get sent to GD. The applicants that just shoot the innocents are probably gonna be unleashed at a later date or if the need is dire enough.

I've noticed that "most" of the people throwing childish accusations of excessive moderation around are the same people that the rest of us usually have to tell to STFU because their posts are so bad/obnoxious.

Feel free to check out the "Future of CCL" thread that CCP has recently tried burying. It's full of links to inappropriately locked threads.
