Orbit suggestion

I only ask this as it does not seem to be a feature from my own experience and from asking others on these forums. If what I am suggesting is a feature...thank goodness!

Right now it seems the only wat to change your plane of orbit is to manually control your flight.

Suggestion.

When in combat view allow us to rotate the plane and orbit on the new axis.

I think if people think about this they would see a huge advantage to having this feature. Especially in regards to mission running and engaging targets.

Yes, I hate speed tanking around a target just to end up spending half my orbit moving away/toward other enemies that are shooting me.

The only thing is that those enemies are trying to orbit you so you would have to be constantly changing your plane of rotation based on current enemy positions.

I'd personally would like the option for direct control of the ship itself and fly it. Then I could simply avoid flying toward or away from any of the enemies.

Yes, I can see what you are saying. I am thinking more off when you enter a room it would be nice to set your axis of orbit to better choose which groups to engage without fear of "running into" an end group while orbitting.

For example, you enter a room on the X, Y plane with 4 groups in front of you on the same plane, one group each side (L, R) and two in the middle. My suggestion would allow you to set an X, Z orbit upon entering the room keeping you almost equi-distant from all groups. You could then engage the groups in the preferred order without worrying about setting off the aggro of coming too close to another group.

For the sake of not orbiting into other groups, absolutely.
