I believe the most common reaction woud be to run to the forums and whine and then blame goons.

I'd probably do the sensible thing, come to the forums to find out wtf just happened, then shrug my shoulders and go on doing what I was doing.

TLDR;

Hackers used a exploit to insta kill entire towns of players and NPCs alike.

Imagine the carnage and mayhem that would ensue if say, every ship/pod in Jita, Amarr or Rens insta-popped simultaneously.

What would you do?

1. Run to the forums and whine.
2. Petition it.
3. Figue BAH! whatever and continue on your way.
4. Grab your Noctis and go on a salvaging spree.
5. Realize **** my clone needed updating months ago.

6. Insert your response here.



Because CCP has such a large player base and is dependent on trade hubs, it would be stupid to assume that they don't have backups or logs that they could use to revert to right before the incidence.

my guess is the "hacker" will get a snitch PLEX from CCP when he tells what he has done
