What would you do if this happened in EVE?

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/World-ofWarcraft-Aura-of-Gold-MMORPG-Insta-kill-exploit,18219.html

"Cities became washed with a sea of virtual dead bodies – both player-controlled and NPCs. It didn't happen in just one random location either like some twisted planned event by Blizzard: death came to Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Tarren Mill, Ragnaros, Draenor, Twisting Nether and other servers."

TLDR;

Hackers used a exploit to insta kill entire towns of players and NPCs alike.

Imagine the carnage and mayhem that would ensue if say, every ship/pod in Jita, Amarr or Rens insta-popped simultaneously.

What would you do?

1. Run to the forums and whine.
2. Petition it.
3. Figue BAH! whatever and continue on your way.
4. Grab your Noctis and go on a salvaging spree.
5. Realize **** my clone needed updating months ago.

6. Insert your response here.

This happened years ago with AoE doomsdays.

If it happened again, I'd log out and wait for them to remove it again.

1. I'd run to the forums and whine. Then I'd defend CCP against the people whining and then I'd attack the people defending CCP. I'd pick on particularly vulnerable posters and generally take advantage of the situation to stir up as much drama as possible.

6. This is going to do wonders for the economy, unless everybody quits Eve. But nobody ever quits Eve.

They put an addictive signal in the bandwidth to make you crave it fortnightly.

If the action that caused the destruction was unknown to me at the time, I'd dock up and try to figure out what happened.

I'd check the forums for the first thread regarding it, look for Jim Era to say "wat", then see if Devs responded in regards to when a fix would be in.

If that failed, or if it was simply a matter of sit and wait for the issue to be resolved, I'd set up a long skill in the queue, and do something else like catch up on reading, try out another MMO, or something along those lines.

It certainly wouldn't be the end of the world.

It would probably just be Concord testing out their new "Death Ray" that was talked about at Fanfest Pirate

I may just use this post as my sig from now on. Totally awesome!

I would have hopefully stocked up on ships just before this happened and would have saved all my ratting loot from when I started. I would then cash it all out after the mass death.

Considering death in wow means nothing, i can't see them having a reason to whine, other than wasting their time.

In EvE however, such as exploit could cost alot of people alot of isk! Not to mention all the time CCP would have to spend giving it all back..... Thankfully, i can't see something similar happening in EvE.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.
