Hello all, i have come back to EVE for about a month now, and was wondering what the most effective way to establish a decent income through PvE. i am sitting on about 1.4 billion ISK with skills in Amarr and Caldari. I have just come back from Null sec and have not established any good standings with any agent, am still on level ones. Was wondering if it is worth the grind for standings to get to higher level missions, and if so what is the most effective way, or go down another path? Also any suggestions on ships? Thank you for reading, safe flying

train the mission related social skills to 3 or 4, pick a good corp in amarr space, buy a nightmare. you will not regret it.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Lvl 4 missions is a steady source of income, but making 40-60m / hour is not really a lot. Much better if you can get in to low / null exploration, incursions, anoms or just plain nullsec ratting in a good ship.

op explicitly asked for steady income. while incursions and low/null activities can yield more average income, neither of them can be called steady.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Not to troll...but you can easily achieve steady income in EVE by working a rl job, using those earnings to buy GTC, then covert them to PLEX, and finally sell on the in-game market. Shocked

Depending upon skills, you can also set up R&D agents and PI to net you a trickle (10-20M / week) with minimal maintenance. The R&D agents, however, require a painful grind with NPC corps that have few security agents.

With the faction grind with lower level agents, just remember your objective is standing / hr, not ISK / hr. Blitz missions and leave the loot.

I call BS. I do exploration out of all things and while it's not steady as in "You will make X amount of money per hour" it is very steady and very profitable if you look at the bigger picture. For instance I can say with a 90% certainty that a good explorer in lowsec will make at least 500m over 10 hours and is likely to make ~1-1,5b while 4+ is possible.

Same about incursions, WH's and nullsec. Over a perspective of say 25-50 or 100 hours they all look very tempting.

get into a tech 2 fit battleship and go run HQs.

i see people saying nightmare in amarr space, but every fit that can actually run level 4s effectively are blinged out + implants. that being said i went to EFT and coughed this puppy out, which is pretty cheap for a nightmare. recommended to fly with blinged out crystal, lazzorr clone though.

i would be going adaptive invuln IIs but theres cpu issues, if you're willing to pop a cpu implant in your 6th implant slot for the cheap hardeners then do it.

Why is Amarr space the recommendation? Do the missions there pay more for some reason?

The skill set and budget call for a Nightmare. The Nightmare does best against Blood Raiders and Sansha. Those spawn predominantly in Amarr space.
