Hi

If I buy a PLEX ingame, is it true I can convert it and make it appear as a redeemable item on the login screen? ( don't know the right term for doing that)

If this is true, can I then convert that PLEX back to an ingame item later on if I wanted to? And if this is possible, where would the PLEX show up ingame, would it appear in the same station I had originally bought it at?

Like say I buy a PLEX at Jita and then turn it redeemable, then travel to my home station then turn it back into an ingame item. Would it be with me in my home station or back in Jita where I bought it?

it will be deposited into your item redemption bay at the login screen if you buy the PLEX from CCP for $$


if you buy it with ISK it just is in the station that you bought it.

You can turn this into game time, or you can sell it for ISK.

If you buy a plex at jita it will be in your items. only in the redeemable for ccp purchases.

Hi Montine FleurdeLys

The process you are talking about is commonly refered to as "Reverse Redeeming", and is primarily used for paying for services with PLEX, or just as an easy way reactivating your account should you forget to apply enough gametime.

When an item is reverse-redeemed (Rightclick item > "Return to redeem items"), it will be locked to the station it's at.
This means, that if you wish to redeem the item, it will always return to the same station hangar, no matter where you are, currently.

This mechanic is in place, in order to prevent people from abusing the redeem system, to safely teleport items through the galaxy.

On that note, I'd like to add, that a PLEX can be activated from anywhere through the assets menu, and you should in theory never have to bring a PLEX out of a station, unless you intend to trade it somewhere else. The moment you bring the PLEX out of a station in your ship, you are a potential target.

i dont want to make a new thread about it, but ill try to ask here:

if i make alt trial account, can i use plex to upgrade it for subscription? i missed out on power of 2 deal and i have no idea when it will be back :(

Yes. All you have to do is use the plex on your trial account. Log off and you will have a fully functional account for 51 days !
