Regular connection errors and connection drops?

Having an interesting problem, not entirely sure it's EVE by itself as it seems other websites become effected by this problem. I have seen people experience similar problems on here before, but not quite like mine, hence the new topic.

I play on a Intel iMac with OSX 10.6.8 on a wireless connection with a BT Home Hub 2.

For the last 3/4 days at about 18:00 to 23:00 EVE time I suddenly start experiencing very bad lag and or have Socket Closed Errors and my connection drops.

I then try to restart EVE and the launcher comes up with the message saying unable to connect to Server. Or I will re-connect and it takes much longer than normal just to get to the Charecter screen.

I turn off the Mac, leave it for about 5min and then restart it and try again, same problem.

I then turn everything off, including routers and modems and after restart still have the same problem.

Then, around about 22:00 to 23:00 it just stops doing it and I can play normally and I can play all day without any problem until 18:00 to 19:00 eve time and then the problem starts again.

Strangely, I can access websites, like you tube and Facebook, but I cannot connect to the EVE websites while this is happening and/or some other sites such as twitter. Which is just weird.

I am pretty sure it's not the Mac because I have other devices (one iPad, two iPhones and a playstation) all hooked up to the same wireless network and they have the same intermittent problem with some sites but not others.

I spent two hours on the phone to my Internet company last night and ran various tests after plugging the mac into a wired connection. All tests came back saying my connection is 100%. Getting expected speed and everything.

So it's not the computer, it's not my Internet connection and it's not my wi-fi. What else could be doing this?

Now appears to have fixed itself... Strange.
