Will Tengus still be able to Solo a C3 ?

Hi

1. Just about to start training up for HM T2 and Tengu etc : but was wondering if it will still be worth it , considering the HM NERF coming ?

2. What ajustments to mod load outs or sub-systems would you recommend for the future ?

3. Is there any OTHER ships that could do a reasonable substitution ie what could become the new solo-boat after the 'expansion' ?

Many thanks

Yes. You will lose 10% damage, but still will effectively hit out to 90km, farther than any other cruiser class ship with the kind of tank a Tengu has

Given that for now Tracking enhancers will have no effect, I would imagine my fit will remain identical to what it is now.

There are plenty of other ships capable of soloing C3's right now. They will be equally viable after the expansion.

after the patch, a HAMgu will be just as good if not better at soloing C3s. the only problem are the neuts but if you fit stable enough, you should be able to cope.

I should buy an Ishtar.

A target painter will be needed to get some of the DPS back if you are using T2 missiles.
Other than that, the fit will stay the same.

If the tracking computer/enhancer changes will be implemented at some point, than dropping one BCU for a TE will make things easier, or a TC if you can drop a mid slot.

Don't let the change affect what you plan to do. A HML tengu will still do just a well in C3 and in fact most cases. You loose some range and some damage, but as said above, you can still hit out at 90km and you may need an extra volley to kill stuff. Trcking may become an issue.. but cross that when you get to a case when it will be a problem. It will affect HAM's as much as HML's. If you decide to go HAM's, you going to have to wast slots to get range after the patch which may well impact dps anyway, so HAM's may not be the end game in the end.

Tengu will solo C3s just fine. If you want another ship for soloing C3s I'd suggest the Legion.

Curious to know how much you guys average per hour in a C3 with a solo Tengu? Assuming you use the same toon to salvage with a destroyer afterwards rather than dual boxing it with a salvaging ship

I solo C3s just fine in a Legion.
Just have to swap between Scorch and Conflag crystals
