Seeing we as a corp had an unpleasant experience some time ago, which involved the "mysterious" dissapearance of some of our more valuable ships, we have been talking about how to improve security in our (wormhole) POS. Trust is a big issue in any corporation. And having to be paranoid to the extreme when recruiting new members is not exactly nice, while recruiting is needed to expand and to become more successful. Im not sure how corpthievery is looked upon by CCP, but in my opinion its spoiling the fun for a lot of people. (i do understand it also provides a lot of fun for some people). It would be great to make life a bit (a lot) harder on corpthiefs, by being able to protect your own personal assets; the ships you worked hard for to get.

There are several ways to increase security ofcourse, but what if it would be possible to password protect ships? We can lock our homes, cars and what not, and seeing Eve Is Real, locking your ships should be possible, just like it is possible to have a password protected can. It would restore the sense of safety when storing ships in a ship maintenance array, and corp thiefs would have to look for more sophisticated ways to succesfully rip off a corporation.

We had a corp theft when we was in 0.0 PL came in when no one was logged on other than their spy and stole as many ships as they could get into their carrier. On the way out they destroyed a blue roqual, and my old corp had to pay for the damages because the spy had our ticker.

In the end we started to only keep what ships we really needed in the hanger. 1 ratting ship, 1 pvp ship, 1 industrial. each . And when you logged out you was advised to log out in your most expensive ship. Some directos in the corp even went and got their own hangers and put them offline when they wasn't being used.
