James 315 is pretty great, and one of the best things to have happened to hisec in recent history. His movement both revolutionizes the hisec he dominates (by thwarting AFK play and miner braindeadness) and makes him and his Order a good chunk of cash -- all this via emergent gameplay completely within Eve's rules, and coupled with a neat bit of RP. With the profession being so SP-light, it only makes sense to try to introduce it to newbies as well, as a welcome to the harsh world of Eve on the right side (the imposers, not the imposed).

10 Million seems kind of cheap for a year of being left alone.

Note: left alone by that particular bumper. Agents are not under any compulsion or agreement to honor each other's pay lists. If you still think that's little: go count how many AFK miners are in a 1-2 system radius around where you currently are. 10 mil each = delicious money (again, especially so for a newbie).

Make ships that collide at high velocity asplode - providing it's mass balanced.

New kind of PvP.

I approve of bumping.. so long as the act of bumping counts as aggression. As it stands it's just one lot of hi sec bears indulging in a safe, concord-protected activity with other high sec bears.

So I can use my ship to bump you into my other ship and you're aggressed.

That'll work.

Bumpervagas sounds like a fun game, actually.

Hmmm. Now I am definitely on the fence.

Unfortunately I am but a small time criminal ATM. Once i've built up a bank roll and am able to fund the "corp" I'll put up an advert.

Oink.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

If you're going to do this please train them properly. The noobs I've seen bumping in belts must surely have been trolled hard by someone asking them to do this.

The worst was one guy who would pick someone out and try and talk to them in local. He'd warn them that if they didn't respond they'd be found AFK and were subject to bumping. He also said if they paid 10 mil he'd stop bumping them. It was all I could do to not pee my pants laughing at someone who only tried to ransom people who were AFK.

Is anybody actually daft enough to pay terminally boring james 'protection' money?

His wallet is full of the mining fees of those who swore they would never succumb, but realized joining us is the path of least resistance. Just comply, it's easier for everyone that way, especially you carebears.

How so? X

Because you bump miners while begging for their isk? Because you think this make you so superior you babble in locals about owning portions of high sec? Because you wish to control when people urinate? What?

Kinda wacko Jamie.

All new players should get in on this. The miners have become fat and decadent of late and 10m is a paltry sum that they happily pay to go back the their tedious isk farming duties.

How exactly would aggression be calculated?
The ship that is moving the fastest when a colliision happens gets the aggro?
If so, look forward to Privateers parking a freighter at 0 on the undock and everyone in Jita 4-4 getting to fire at will on the 'bumper' thanks to Crimewatch 2.0. If it's the opposite and the slower ship in the way that gets aggro, then James 315 will be able to kill the afk miners immediately after bumping them.

Clearly, James 315 is as he says - totally invulnerable and utterly unstoppable. New players would do well to learn from him and his stellar 31.25 isk cost ratio.
