I like the new CW mechanic, has much potential and is as simple as possible.

Dev Blog

What we now need is more crime in High-Sec aside of Ninjalooters and Suicidegankers ;)

- First of all, Custom-Ships on the gates which scan you cargo for illegal goods should be removed completly. Let the players do that. Smuggling Boosters and other illegal goods in Highsec could be a rewarding, but more dangerous profession again. If something is detected, the Smuggler gets flagged. I thought i allready heard about this in a Fanfestreport somewhen, was a bit dissapointed that it seems not to be in this release.

- Same for some Tags (Caldari Tags in Caldari space, Amarr Tags in Amarr space, etc.)

- Perhaps put some Faction-Moduls / Ships on a Highsec-Blacklist and make them illegal too? Someone who colaborates with criminal Piratefactions like the Guristas or even Shansha Kuvakei (a decleared enemy to the society of New Eden) should be punished too... ;)
Or just a new line of illegal moduls, slightly better than the T2 versions that use "forbidden" technology and are officialy banned from the empires? Would also strenghen 0.0 Industry because you would be encouraged to produce this Moduls there.

Bullshit. We've been campaigning for the transfer of initiative from NPC entities to players for ages. The booster idea especially has been passed around for as long as boosters were out. How did CCP address it? By removing the smuggling bonus from Snake implants, and removing scanning immunity from the Orca's corp bay. Oh and they made the customs NPCs instantly target you.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

I say we could flag all sorts of behavior.

- Posting ASCII "art" in local.
- Abandoning that Ibis on gate.
- Anchoring any container with the words "join", "now" or "recruiting".
- Salvaging - anything, you dirty salvager.
- Flying an "Atron".

You know it makes sense.

So now Customs insta-targets and scans + fines + confiscates, and then because you got hit by a Security status penalty, Sentry guns start firing on youSmile

Guess my CovOps probably isn't going to help me move those boosters after all, and either way, if I do I should want to be done before Sentry guns start popping me for it. ShockedSmile

Speaking of boosters, CCP apparently want them to stay undesirable to haul into hisec. If drugs monitoring will be transferred to players completely, people will just move them in covops and blocade runners without giving a single damn. I'm not saying that it's bad, but CCP has other ideas. Probably want boosters to remain a low/null-sec advantage over hisec or something.

I completely agree with you on this one.

The smuggling career needs to be next on the list after the Merc and Bounty hunter professions get some love.

You are so far off the mark here that if you were shooting at a barn door you would hit the guy standing behind you.

I approve of this. I also want to be able to use salvagers on corpses to recover / steal implants.

Something else they should make illegal in high-sec is excessive bumping mining ships

No. Bumping serves a useful purpose and shouldnt be a crime. In fact, it should be taught in the tuturials to new players.
