I would like to know , if i can solo all level 3 missions, draw aggro from the full room and tank it without warping out, will i be capable of running level 4 missions?

Totally depends what ship you are flying.

General rule is if you can tank about 500dps and do about the same nr as dps then you should be able to complete most lvl4's.

Can you fly battleship with T2 guns, drones and tank? Can you make around 700dps and tank around 400dps? Those values are not set in stone and you can get by with less but either missions will take longer or you will get one with very massive initial damage and ose your ship.

If so I would say you should be fine on tank side although remember that L4s are significantly harder that L3s so taking full room aggro may not be a best idea. L4s tend to have quite a lot more EWAR/web/scram than L3s so tackle rats are basically top priority targets. Try to search for L4 navy domi fits recommended here on forums and see if you can get dps people write about and try.

with a 750 dps garde dominix you should be fine, to be honest. If he has l5 skills he's set. Just make sure your light drones are skilled up so you can kill frigs. It's really not that hard to do level 4s if you kill frigs fast. However, you should be careful, because in some missions the frigs spawn another wave of enemies when shot, so they have to be shot last.

For safety in missions, use eve-survival.org it helps to know what you are up against

All tier 2 drones except sentry, i dont use them much anyway, i have a type of CHAAAAAARGE attitude to missions, but with level 4s i will adopt a different mindset.

The jump in difficulty from L3s to L4s is quite high. In L4s you can be warp scrambled, so carry light drones to take out the scrambling frigates first. Beware of pulling too much.

Sounds like you have the skills and a good ship to do them in. Have a look at http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports before you head on the mission, so know what to expect.

If you have decent defensive skills to match that you should be fine in L4s. But for god's sake train the T2 sentries as soon as you can. Applying instant high damage at range is invaluable to getting missions done. And there's no such thing as a fast Dominix (anymore).

When starting out with 4s I think it most important to use tactics. Fly around the edges of groups and agro one group at a time if able. When you are more comfortable with your tank then get more risky. Always take out frigates first, they are what can ruin your day with scrambling. Also use http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports or similiar to know just what you are facing and what resists you will need.

I ran level 4's in T1 fittted ravens and domis as soon as I could fly the hulls and fit reasonable stuff to them.

It's just a matter of brains.

^ As above. Managing agro in LVL4 is very important. Always read the mission reports to find out what the triggers, spawns, dmg type, loot is etc. I'm hoping you already do this for lvl3s.
Usually you read the report and figure out how to agro pocket 1/4 without attracting the rest of the room, leaving the trigger for last.

You will be able to run level 4 missions. When I started level 4 missions I ran them in my drake but it took forever to complete them.

The question is can you run them well enough to be worth while.

From your skills I would say you should have no problems. But if you are not careful you can lose a ship very quickly in level 4 missions.

you need to complete level 4 missions in 45min to 1 hour to get better income than running level 3 missions. As I said when I started I ran them in my drake. I did it without losing my ship. but made more isk/hr running level 3 missions.

You should have no problem tanking the missions if you fit according to the resists specific to that mission. omni tanking is a bad idea in level 4 missions.

I say try a few out and se what your completion times are. if it takes you several hours than stick with level 3 missions until you get your DPS up. if you can finish them in under 1 hour you are good to go. I think about the best you can do solo runing level 4 missions is about 20 minutes on average. But anything under 1 hour while get you more isk/hr than level 3 missions even when run very quickly..

As all said above. LvL 4 missions aren't a huge leap from 3's really. Watch for warp scrambling frigs in lvl 4's that weren't there in the 3's.
Some folk use Drakes, I bought a Raven and proceeded to pretty much land on a grid, pick a group to aggro, kill them, rinse and repeat, often not even moving the Raven at all. That's T2 shield mods and T1 missile launchers- faction ammo. I used T2 drones but have very weak drone skills overall, they're just there to knock down frigs.

I found that I spent more time slow boating a BS around than I did actually killing the rats. Other than managing aggro and fitting tank for the specific enemy DPS, they aren't terribly different. Just remember the warp scramming rats and send drones after them right away.

You're probably well qualified to run lvl 4 missions, just need to break down and run a few. Try the easiest ones in your Lvl 3 ship, drop the prop mod for another shield mod for more tank. You'll prolly still need to warp out on occasion, but no big deal if you dealt with the scramblers.

The rewards jump for level 4 missions, once you get to running them, you'll only look at 3's and below again if you're grinding status up to run 4's.

You don't need sentry drones, but they revolutionize your play style. Anyone who says they lack dps relative to heavies hasn't thought about travel time.
