The Austin Game Developers Conference (GDC) runs from October 9 to October 11, 2012. CCP will be attending and we would like to invite you to join us for a chat and drink at The Ginger Man on Thursday, October 11 at 19:00. CCP Fozzie, CCP Fox Four, CCP Affinity and more will be in attendance.

I would just like to point out, for those of us in Texas that might consider going from the other metropolitan areas, having this on a Thursday night is a kiss of death.

Thursdays I usual spend hungover from Wednesday night safety meetings so no this isn't really an option!

The edge is REALLY hard to see at times but it DOES exist and in this case we were looking at a situation where a new feature created for all of our customers was being virtually curbstomped by five of them

According to the Google Calendar widget on the event page, the actual event time is 8pm CDT (Austin's TZ). I would recommend showing up a little early. ACL (Austin City Limits) starts Friday the 12th and downtown will be very busy even on a Thursday night which is also college night on 6th street.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Having some second thoughts about going if downtown is going to be that busy. Will probably end up going anyway.

I stumbled across this while I was surfing the net. Fortunately, I am in the Austin area. :-) Parking can sometimes be an issue near 6th street. You can always hail a cab to take you to the venue.
