Remove ice belts in high sec and put them All in low and Null sec .

Give a boost to industry ( in POS) in lowsec

Remove incursions to high sec >> low sec and Null sec only.

Put half LV4 mission s n LOw sec.

Increase reward of FW in low sec

All juciy complexes in Lowsec .. the lower the juicer.

But in the Other hand increases defenses at the gates and near station ( warp scramble and instant kill of pirate ) get tired of the gate camp.

CCP it's time to remove Off Grid Boost and Put Them on Killmail too, add Logi on killmails .... Open that damn door !!

you shall all bow and pray BoB

How about high end roids in low sec?

The largest misconception among all players is that Null Sec is this ultra dangerous mysterious place, and theoretically it is, but not in practice.

And by the way, life as a Pirate isn't negatively impacted in any real tangible way. Even -10's dash through high sec systems and dock at stations to gear up. So it's all rather ridiculous.

This and This - Hopefully the new bounty / crimewatch mechanics bring something useful to this.

Yes - low sec is dreadful and dangerous with instadeath at every gate and station. Please never go there.

I lost a few drakes as a noob running sites in Low.

But here are some things I learned

1) Use the f***ing map or DOTlan and check the pipes and gate camps
2) Don't take a f***ing hauler near Rancer you idiots.
3) Bring some friends

But seriously.. So much whineage.

I'm sure someone who thinks they know how this game works will attempt to say, "well just form up and kill the pirate gangs, go bust them up!" . Ummmmm. Yeah. Sure. Well, it's not being done, is it? I don't claim to know why. Risk/reward is one reason, certainly. The engagements are usually stacked against you for another. Attacks come at random, etc. But beyond that, I don't know.

.

There's no point. There's nothing to be gained in low-sec by sitting in a single system other than pirating/gate camping, so even if you sent in a force to wipe out the pirates/gate camp, you would never stick around. Which means 5 hours later the same pirates/gate campers will be set up again. Nobody is going to waste their time endlessly clearing gate camps from all the systems where they're setup when there is no benefit to the siege breaker.

Low-sec is broken. The OP has it right. For one thing, there needs to be a fix to high-sec so that people with low security ratings get instapopped when they enter a gate. No more allowing them to jet through Hi-sec with impunity. Want to be a pirate? Then hi-sec is off limits to you unless you spend the time to rat to build the security rating back up (oh, and that process needs to be much slower than it is now).

Hi Sec safer than Null-Sec which is safer than Low-Sec. Low-Sec is pointless.

FW is an incredible success for low sec. The next winter FW expansion will remove the farmers and increase the pvp and intensity and low sec FW area will be crazy good. I think more low sec should have similar mechanics to that of FW, change some things up and get more population into low sec.

Agreed. I haven't started FW yet, but am looking forward to joining in. Not particularly interested in abusing the system to orbit stations and get loads of free ISK - if I'm going to do FW it's for the PVP and action.

The problem with low sec is incredibly simple:

The people who most enjoy living there inevitably go pirate. It's a self fulfilling prophecy, more people in low sec basically just means more pirates in low sec. There are some holdouts of course, but they are outnumbered and outgunned most of the time. FW only works because of incentives and ultimately doesn't change a thing, there are still as many players living in low sec as before FW.

Wouldn't matter because Veld, Scord, and Pyroxeres are already better roids than any ore in the game except Ark.

BS! We always keep our word, not doing so means people wont pay ransoms etc.

Oh, man, you gotta stop with the comedy, I can't catch my breath from laughing so hard!

I love it when griefers try to justify what they do by saying that they only grief other players on honorable terms. It's pretty hilarious.

You know what would be a great way to punish -5.0 status and lower security status? No docking at NPC stations anywhere in Empire space. Period. Sure, you can zip through Empire space all you want in your pod, but you ain't gonna be able to dock up anywhere. That would put real teeth in the sec status mechanic instead of the lame mechanic we have now. There's essentially no punishment for having a low sec status right now because the actual "punishments" -- gate guns, faction navies -- are too easily avoided.

You're a pretty angry little bear aren't you? Understandable with all those feelings of impotence and unfulfilled rage floating around in your head. Tragic. Maybe you should try becoming a pirate and letting it all out? Y'know, get actual perspective from the other side, rather than just the odd little hate-filled fantasies you dream up.

It's not hard to understand the griefer's mindset, chum. You get your jollies from popping players weaker than you are. It's not complicated.

It's the asinine self-justification that EVE pirates have that irritates me. In any other game, you and your ilk would have been banned long since. Bleating that "it's a valid play-style" is just putting a layer of frosting on your jack-assery. If you were truly interested in the mythical ~GoodFights~, you'd be mixing it up with other combat ships and contesting systems in fleets, not killing T1 frigs, indys, barges.

But whatev's. I get my revenge on pirates by taking their money in the markets. Every time you buy ammo or fittings, think of me -- you're putting ISK in my pocket.

So I hear painting whole groups of people with a brush means you're never wrong. And I hear you can't call yourself a pirate without literally being the lowsec copy of goons.

And of course, we know that people who say goons are the most loyal of allies must be lying, so pirates saying they honour ransoms must also be lying. It's obvious.

That feels like part of the problem. HS minerals should not be more valuable than LS ones. You should make more money mining in LS than HS even with slightly less yield.

Oh, you're just precious, aren't you? They spend their time in lowsec, they may or may not do gatecamps or hunt down and hold people for ransom, and you're actually, unironically, managing to spew forth about how evil they are.

Which ship of yours did they pop, and what was in it, since you're so mad?

dude you obviously don't pvp much. Low sec/null sec/wormholes wtf ever.. I'll take whatever kill I can get whether I'm "blobbing" or not giving "gudfites." Can't speak for all the PYRATES but I log in to PvP plain and simple. I will kill whatever I can whenever I can, because that is what is fun for me. I was blobbed in low last month, perma jammed, lost close to 1 bil Loki from Guristas Associates. Guess what, we had a laugh in local about it and they were good sports. I'd do the same to them if I had a chance. Your idea that Eve needs to be even and fair is just not reality.

The only thing lowsec is handy for is finding an open moon for reactions.

Beyond that there is really no use to it at all.

If lowsec had opportunity then people would go out of their way to make lowsec work for them.

The fact that CCP felt compelled to stiffen the penalties for criminal behavior in the winter expansion means that CCP agrees that things need to change. I think the new bounty system will be a failure as every other MMO bounty system has failed (it'll never work in a game that allows alts), but at least it shows that they understand that there's a problem.

The point isn't about "fair". EVE isn't fair, and isn't supposed to be fair. But it should be balanced, and right now criminal behavior is very unbalanced because there's little downside to it other than the loss of a ship to CONCORD in high sec. I've said elsewhere: if you really want to punish criminals, prevent them from docking anywhere in high sec until they get a sec status above -1. Forget the gate guns and faciton navies; just lock them out of all the NPC stations until their status improves.
