EVE`s wacko wardec system, and the result of the changes.

Dear CCP, Eveteers, and future Eveteers,

As some of you know, and a lot of you do not know CCP has changed EVE`s way of war to promote the PVP side of the game. This however, in my opinion has a great future wich can, and already is, misused by some players to an extent that makes EVE game-play an unbelievable act of donating real life money, or ISK if u use time-cards, into CCP`s wallet whilst getting nothing back.

What is the problem?
To wardec an alliance it is relatively cheap i nthe new war system. So cheap that the below the top 100 alliance list pile of alliances can now be decked for under 100 mil a month. An amount that stays that way, unless the warring party decs more corps. If you dec someone, bad luck, no candy.

So, for a one man corp, fighting a guerrilla war, it is now relatively easy to wardec alliances and do some cherry picking. This of course can be maintained with 1 1/2 hours of incursion running per week, so the wars are low cost, and do a lot of isk damage to industrialists. Especially those that are spread across multiple timezones and locations.

Being nice to CCP and warning them about this customer costly exercise where wars can run over a month for as less as 400 / 500 mil wich can be easy PVP-ed back by killing a few miners, haulers of battlecruisers, resulted in a reply that i should post my feelings about this kind of wallet emptying onto these forums. Something i definitely do NOT like to do

Now CCP can deal with their forums, i hope they enjoy the dirty laundry being taken out.

What you've just described is a good thing, except the wardec changes have made it more expensive to do. What?

Im not so sure about CCPs dirty laundry, but it does sound like the OPs laundry may need cleaning, especially after untwisting his panties he has clearly wet for some reason.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

I swear to god my WarDec list is just getting bigger and bigger. At this rate Corps/Alliances I add now will only be decced in 3-4 months.

War decs - only relevant in high sec. Why are you still in high sec, OP?

I'd say they are quite relevant in LoSec aswell. That is if you don't mind going -10

edit: typo

This could be fun.

The OP is basically saying that because some Monkey see's fit to play guerilla wa\r with a hisec alliance.
How he does this is by using a number of neutral alts to find WT's, then logs his main in and kills someone, and either logs off again, or plays station games for an hour.

Now yes, it is a good way to get some pews, i'll be first to admit that, but when it's been going on for over a month, and the majority of player in said alliance are PAYING for their accounts, we're not really able to get anything for our money.

Now i know i have just opened the "get outta hisec" can of worms.
Thing is this, some of us do venture out to null, have a great time getting a few pews, but mainly, we're a hisec based allaince. I know most people will moan about us "not playing the game properly".
Frankly, that's crap. We play it how we want, as does everyone.

The main issue is that one player is being a pussy, and not fighting properly (and is probably more terrified of venturing to nullsec than any of us in alliance). Any one of us would gladly come and fight him, if he actually stayed out of station. So in the end, we're paying for a game that we cannot play properly (pve AND pvp) because he's being a bit of a douche.

We'd like something done with the game mechanics to stop someone greifing for so long, by either MAKING them fight, or make it cost more isk if there hasn't been sufficient kills made in a said amount of time

Blah blah, not really meant for name-calling. I'd love to get out into nullsec myself (CAUTION: ADVERT HERE! LOL) but only once my main is sufficiently trained in what i want/need them to be.

Love you all, Vitti. x

unrelated to my stance on this (it's actually hilarious) I doubt there is anyway of "fixing" this. Are you going to abolish alts ?

I'd agree that the current WarDec seems to need some retooling.

As it currently is it's basically a method for creating pvp in highsec - fine, but the issue is that because it's so cheep you can pretty much declare war on every alliance who has industrialists in highsec and pew pew them all day long, and keep continuing the WarDec even after a surrender or the end of the period with almost no downtime. This creates a lot of griefing, which is allowed, but still, I think there there should be some type of cooldown between WarDecs on the same alliance/corp.

I suppose the solution is to just leave an alliance/corp and rebuild a new one, but that seems like a lame solution and one that would quickly eat through a lot of industrialist's ISK. I guess my thinking is, what's the point of having HighSec if it doesn't actually provide any benefit to those who want to pve? May as well just get rid of it and force everyone into nullsec since that's essentially what is being created with continuous cheap WarDecs, although without the benefits of nullsec materials.

I created Ave Molech and I love ponies.
