EVE Gate Killboard, run by CCP?

How is this not a thing yet? How long have we had this game and been using EVE Kill and BC etc. Both those exterior services are fine but I have a dream! A dream that we dont have to post kill mails or give APIs out, why? Because CCP already have them! You dont have to worry that the guy who whored on your KM and got the final blow wont post it up to keep record of your kills or that the dead guy wont be honorable enough to post his loss up! Why? Because its done for you!

We have Spacebook (Eve Gate) And this nice new UI in eve, well I like the KM lay out now atleast. Why cant this be intergrated into a KB you can check oog and in game.

I dont have much more to say, this isnt a huge suggestion like "Lets make a new BS that cloaks and has dread gunz!" like some other fine 30 post ideas in here, but it does boggle my mind as to why this isnt in the game yet.

Yes, it would go along nice with some improvements so that killboard stats are more difficult to inflate. It boggles my mind why killing your own increases ISK efficiency (and if one of your caps is going to die, everyone and their dog is going to shoot it, just to inflate killboard stats).

In essence, good idea.

Whether CCP does it or the third party I would really like to see kill reports that use standing to try and get the two sides of the battle right. Maybe even an option for three way kill reports in those battles that occasionally happen between three parties (IE Solar and CFC Vs. Dotbros).

Also yes please on the cov ops BS with Dread Gunz and may I add a doomsday.

Yeah, so we can see how bad everybody is at highsec.

Anybody who actually does PVP or gets hit by a regular PVPer will have at the very least most of their kills and losses on a killboard, and at most have their API on a few.

I agree with this, that most people will already have it set up, but some kills and losses always fall through the net. And why not sure how bad people are at high sec. Im sure there could be added options that remove losses to NPCs but sometimes those are the funniest losses.

Pulling standings would be a nice thing and trying to level out isk efficiency and the whole numbers thing for people solo'ing. I understand people like the pts that are awarded on BC as opposed to Eve Kill. And a ranking system would be good thats well ballanced so you see whos the best player in EVE.

As long as we are given the option to allow CCP to publish our combat records or not, I'm fine with it. Make it so that you either get all your kills AND losses published, or none at all.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Actually, that new KB I don't see as an e-peen tool (current KBs do that just fine), but as a tool that will allow some meaningful data to be gathered.

1. KB stat inflating should be impossible. If the data is fake, you cant get anything out of it. Or at least make it very hard to do so. (no in corp/ally kills would be registered, or there would be an option to filter them out).
2. Loss to CONCORD is always PVP loss and must be registered as such. therefore, suicide ganking will be registered like now, only loss would be there, so its less an inflation of stats.
3. PVE loss wouldn't register (except loss to CONCORD), or there should be filter option for that. Its not a PVP metric at all. And yes, PVE losses are 'hilarious' in the way that someone loses his missioning ship because he went AFK or watched pornography or w/e, he 'fails at EVE' so much.. Or not. Grow up.
