In the last 2 weeks, I got escalations from Serpentis Watch sites. Two sites, two escalations, and in between, two more from other sites.

The escalation is called "Jet Set Hooligans". The first time, I got as far as the level where the Serpentis Madcat loses warp and is very hard to kill. In that go-around I lost my 3 year old exploration ship to a very epic Serpentis spawn (and there I was getting tired of this ship after 3 years and wondering how to "decommission" it, ).

The second time was 2 days ago, and I got the escalation all the way to the final lowsec site, but not being able to get a team together in the 24 hours time span, had to forget about that and the chance for A-types.


It used to be that I could count the number of exploration site/combat escalations on my hands in a year and not run out of digits.


So I am wondering that, while indeed there are more sites these days now that everybody and their brother appears to have flocked back to Incursions (it's about the community, not the ISK, they say.. LOL) I never had this luck with escalations before.

Did CCP decide to turn up the valve on escalation chances? This I wonder.

Not that I complain - it's nice to have all that faction ammo and modules. But I am wondering if I missed the memo.


Anybody else seeing more escalations more often than usual?

It's just random.

I've had periods where it seemed that just about every unrated site that I did escalated, 3+ in a few day. Then other times I'll go ages between getting an escalation.

As far as "Jet Set Hooligans" goes, you can solo that last low sec stage in a BC even with a cloak fitted. I do normally. Also, it's best not to hang around for the massive spawn that eventually happens in each stage of the escalation. Just do what you need to to get the next escalation info window and then move on.

Actually, Herzog raises a good point. I experienced the same situation on a few occasions.
Not complaining at all, I actually like it. If it is a bug, it''s bonus as far as I am concerned

i have never, ever. never ever got a escallation from a anomaly.
like ever ever.. ive played eve for bout 5years.
got so annoyed not too long ago that i did 5-10 anomalys a day for a month, and not a single escallation.
but there were like times id run 5anomalys and get 4faction spawns.

now i have not done any anomalys for a month, i just got bored of em and accepted that i will never get an escallation from one.
(tho i do find a ocational plex when i probe, but before the last 4plexes wich actually been pretty nice, i had 10combat sites that only 1gave a 400m mod rest gave lunch box)

so the TL;DR version is, na they aint been buffed, or ccp just hates me

I ran out in A null with a guy that ran 3 tengus and we ran at least 3 or more a day most dead ended or dropped crap but we got a lot of them.
