Umpteen possibilities

Ok so I'll set the scene, I'm say here at work reading the eve forums when my boss catches me. Dahm I'm screwed I thought however it turns out he's a goon :o. A dirty goon pilot at that, anyway a large discussion was conducted as we schemed on how to get more of our collegues into eve.

Firstly we decided to play eve you needed to earn roughly 1 billion isk a month, this would but you a shiny plex + other random ships/mods/skill books required etc.

Secondly we argued on the best way to have fun yet make the disired isk. This is where other capsuleers come in,

So what I'm asking is the following.

Because the isk is so low how would you earn it and why?

Would you be?
A mission runner
Miner (ice or ore)
Pirate
Fw pilot
Explorer (high, low, null)
Belt runner in 0.0
Trader
The list goes on...........

This is all hypothetical

join a WH corp, and move in after you can fly a battleship with tech 2 fit.

Station Trading. Have your boss remove restrictions on your work computers. Employees could work whilst checking buy/sell orders to 0.1 isk war. What a paradise it would be....

as mentioned above, best isk in eve is in WHs.

Wormholes I missed from my list, it's a shame as there my home too

I like the station trading idea. I'm going to try that :), I wonder how productivity would fall?

I would suggest buying a plex every 2 months since they apparently have jobs. Pretty sure it's what 13 bucks / month to play (I haven't been to acct management lately) so 7/month if you plex every 2nd month.

This is turn would only cost about 280mil/month which really isn't very hard to earn doing anything. Tack on another 500 if you'd like for shinies so 780 mil, you should be able to do that with a fresh toon that can fly 3km/s in FW in a week.

Falling into the "I gotta make enough for a plex" trench is no way to play EVE. Pay your monthly subscription and go have fun. Best advice I can give you and your friends really.

3. Sell PLEX for >1B isk.

I dispute needing to make 1 billion a month to play, not everyone is cheap. Anytime I feel I need to make a certian ammount to play, it stops being a game and becomes work. I cannot beleive so many people consider EVE job.

I'm a nerd, you can check my stats!! Skilling Int/Mem at 45 sp per minute is how I mack!     I'm like a lapdog, all bark no bite.

You can make this ISK using science & industry, and about an hour of effort a month. Frees up your game time for playing how you want, instead of doing only what nets the most ISK/hour.

Why not just pay the $15 each month with a credit card or Pay Pal and not worry about the isk grind? You're employed,after all, and $15 shouldn't be a major burden.

Whoa where you get that number, 1 billion a month? Plenty of people play rather regularly while earning much less than that. You're aware you can pay your monthly sub with real money right?
