Drones are like mosquitos: They sting and die easily.

Rails are like poking sticks: They annoy people.

Blasters are like farts: They are nasty only if you are close.

And bad posts are like bad.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I'm probably just pissed at CCP. The new dessy adds nothing new to the table, I was really hoping for a true drone boat, and not some half-azzed split weapon systems thing.

Got link?

Nice analogies by the way, personally I enjoy sending in my swarm of mosquitos to annoy my target as I rush in and fart in their general direction.
Its good to be [Gallente](http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1209/QEQlJ.jpg).

I thought you should know that the US would still be an English colony if not for the French navy.

Also, stop whining about ****** ships and just crosstrain, FFS.

You mean the guys that showed up late but was just in time to stop the English from running away before adopting said tactic?

Actually, they nearly completely severed Atlantic supply lines, forcing England to rely on troops from other colonies and severely limiting their effectiveness. They also essentially eliminated the ability of the English to move by sea from city to city, making them vulnerable to guerilla warfare.

I think you're mixing up the French involvement in the US Revolution with US involvement in WW2, with the whole "show up late and do little" bit.

The damn French Resistance played a larger part in the European theatre than the US. God, US schools waaaaay overblow their importance in Europe during WW2. That war was almost entirely won by the Soviet Union, with England's refusal to be conquered being the second biggest factor and the fact that Germany could never get a complete foothold in France being the third.

WW2 was decided in Stalingrad and Kursk. Normandy was an afterthought, a kick while they were down.

I've given up on most Americans actually knowing their history, Hollywood has corrupted their minds and they now believe what they see on TV and at the cinema. I found a thread in new players Q&A where the OP actually believed that the US both obtained and cracked the Enigma machines (too much U571).

Edit: I should clarify, I was educated in both the US and the UK, When I returned to the UK I had to learn to spell again P and discard some of the things I had been taught because they were very America-centric

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I think taking Paris qualifies as a foothold... smells like cheese too Big smile

Also England would have folded eventually had we not bent the German navy over a barrel and had our way with them. I agree with the Soviets because they were awesome Blink

Well, you did also have that country over there in the Pacific... Japan... I think the US kinda helped with that a little bit.

Now awaiting the total pile on the US for being savages because they used nukes.

GO !

Edit: apologies, as I sort of ignored the fact that your conversation was centered upon the European theatre.

I'm a US citizen who had the fortune of growing up in six different countries, learning history from six perspectives. Pretty easy to figure out whats true and whats bullshit after that.

@ Plunderbunny: Germany only ever truly held Northern France, and Paris was a hotbed of Resistance activity. They were practically fighting a battle against invisible foes and losing men and materiele every day.

RE: Pacific War, yes, that was the US's battlefield, but you can't neglect the fact that Japan was only willing to surrender once the USSR declared war (they offered surrender with one condition when the USSR entered the war, that condition being that the Emperor be allowed to retain his position. The US refused, dropped nukes, then accepted surrender with the same goddamn condition.) Australia also played a role similar to England's in the Pacific. They were being a royal pain to invade, and were similarly strategically necessary for Japan.
