None of the servers have ever had sped up training I agree that we should have some sped up training because it could help us but I doubt they would actually put it in

Buy +5 implants and participate in mass tests. That's as much of a boost to training time as you're going to get. Resources spent on adding a feature like this are better spent on something meaningful to EVE's development.

Pretty much this. There are no plans whatsoever to change training times on test servers. If you want skillpoints, participate in mass tests.

To be fair since it is a test server, you could simply give everyone say a hundred million allocatable SP at mirrors, and since the code for allocatable SP already exists, it seems like it would be a fairly simple thing to do. It's sometimes hard to test things if you can't fly a ship. For example i would love to test the upcoming NPC AI changes, but that would take more than one capable character when at the moment i only have one.

who would test the frigs and cruisers then.....
everyone would simply use the TEST server to fly cap ships.

Also what meaningful testing can someone really do if they have had no experience on tranquility with whatever they are 'testing''

They gave everyone (a few back) ALL the skills at Level V on SiSi

Nearly everyone flew supercaps that day and it broke the server because of all the Doomsdays - prior to the Death-Starequse FreemBeam

Also, anything that goes on at The Palace (hey its called Buckingham) and SiSi is meant for actual bug-hunting and testing of game mechanics, NOT your personal T2 fitted Damnation with Yes EHP.

I understand it would lead to misuse. But that's a whole different problem, isn't it?

You know, i completely agree with this. Personally i don't use the test server because we're not given the proper tools for testing.

I used to make argument for this but I think giving away SP rewards for mass-testing is a good compromise and nice incentive to actually get involved with the testing effort.

Doesn't need to change.

What is it you want to test but can't? Frigates and destroyers can run level 1 missions easily, or go to belts and fight rats. That would test the new AI and ship balancing changes just fine!

Awesome news for those of us who CAN'T participate in Mass Tests....and no, we will not take a day off of work just to attend a mass test.

And i made a real effort this last one, landed in the test system a mere 15 minutes after the test 'started' only to find it almost empty and nobody in the "mass test" chat channel...and got zero skill points.

Your 'proper tools' are there -- on the ends of your arms and in your head. Granted, I would love to have a specific list of things to test -- but we've got the test server, we know what's going up for bug-hunting, and we're all capable gamers.

When Duality was up before I and Fozzie were very specific on what to test, even having a coordinated event to emphasise it. In recent expansions I have posted areas to focus on/features that the teams were working on, but that doesn't really apply to what is currently on Buckingham as most of the changes will be tested simply by normal play occurring (they are largely technical in nature)

What do you mean, what date was this and what test server????

That thursday (27th?) you had the test (you know, the only mass test you've had in what seems like 9 months), and on the only test server that EVE can log into...Bucky....unless you made a single day exception for SiSi, after yall told everyone to switch our SiSi's over to Bucky since it will be the primary Eve Test for a while. Also it wasn't with this character, it was with two alts of mine.

I flew both my alts to D2-HOS, then i went to Odamia, upon arriving there (15 minutes after "start" time), finding only 3 ppl in local, i searched for the Mass Test Channel, jumped in, found nobody in there. So i jumped around to some of the planets, looked at the districts, then AP'd back home.

Sorry for seeming slightly frustrated at your asking 'what date and server'...the frustration comes from the fact that question seems on par with CCP's general behavior this year. Not meant to offend, just being honest.
