Hi guys,

I'm considering moving to Stain, and I'm wondering what I should base my income on.

What's the pro and cons with killing Sanshas in the belts, vs running missions for them?

What's best income?

Cheers!

If your going for missions there are a few pockets that large alliance have hold over. not necessarily hard to get by them, the two pockets or systems that are worth running missions in are http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Stain/JG-ZLG#npc24 and also http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Stain/H-QXM7#npc24.

But belt ratting can get really annoying as lots of roaming gangs. the ability to hide in missions and just carry on running the mission is very nice. Not many fleets have probers, so they pass by quickly.

recommend tengu for this area although the Amarr missions do take some time to complete.

Rewards for running the missions are Phantasm, succubus and nightmare BPC. this is only after two weeks to three weeks.

Also the best mission is Navy armada, as you go against the Caldari faction, but the rewards for the one mission with tags reaches say 200m. from tags, mission reward and bonus mission reward.

if you need any advise further hit me up in game for all types of pirate missions, as i have ran angel, serpentis, sansha and gurista.

cheers
R

If else fails or if life gets you down never ever retreat back to WOW. We will find you we will kill you and then you will probably just buy gold and be good again.

What happens to your empire faction standings when you do pirate faction missions? Do they go down?

And if they go down, is it only on missions against one of the empire factions or go down regardless?

Hope you don't mind me asking in your thread, Mira Hirl.

When you perform an action to a empire faction, whether that's shooting or anything, you always get bad standings,

i just run them and then try to use the data agents for a quick boost, failing that you can just pull a few highsec missions to balance out.

although to be honest who wants highsec missions and incursions when you clear like 200m an hour constantly, i for one am very glad to move to all the pirate regions, the isk and lp are insane 15k for one mission which takes like 15 to complete.

you take that 15k lp and convert it by roughly 4000 isk per lp for serpentis and you hitting 60 mil for that one mission without any tags bonus rewards or anything. so yeah sod the standings.

pirate all the way for PVE.

Just on confirm the action you do against one faction doesn't i believe affect another, for example killing gallente will hit your gallente only standings. so just keep them above -5.0 and your good to go.

If else fails or if life gets you down never ever retreat back to WOW. We will find you we will kill you and then you will probably just buy gold and be good again.

I have an alt that missions in Stain some of the time.

My .02 isk:

- Sansha LP is not really worth much more than certain factions you can get in Empire. You do get more LP per mission but all that does is get it about equal to LP conversion in Empire (all things considered)

- You have to get that LP obtained loot back to empire as the market for it down there is much more depressed than Jita. This is not hard as you can JF yourself or even hire Black Frog Freight...but it will cost close to 200 mill isk a run.

- My alt is blue to the major alliances in the area. I shudder to think how much more nerve wracking it would be to not be Blue to the major powers-that-be. However, there are still some neuts around and some of those neuts will actively hunt you. This seems to happen after a few days of missioning which implies some people watch the map stats and notice when stats indicating mission runners appear. They then lay in wait with bubbles to snag you.

- The way they snag you seems to be 3 different ways. The will scan you down in missions though this seems to be not used as much as the other 2. Another, they will lay in wait on the other side of a gate and activate bubbles when you come through. So, you need an alt to run the gates. However, you will usually lose your alt's pod when this happens and so have to get another alt down there which is a pain (unless you can get your alt standing to get a JC or stationed there). The third way is they wait in station until a few seconds after they see you pop into local. They then jet out of station and set up a bubble hoping to snag you as you try to get into the station. Make sure you have multiple stand off BMs way out to look for this.

---

Ok to answer your question - You can make as much if not more running lvl 4's in Empire for much less risk and hassle. It's fun to do now and then as a change of pace...My alt did it for a couple Nightmare BPCs and some implants but is not the primary isk-making activity. Keep a JC down there for when you get the itch. I did get many faction missions as well particularly against Amarr, Concord and Caldari...but this is fine as some of those tags are worth mucho isk in Jita...but no bounties so your isk is delayed on these missions.

Short version - You can make as much, if not more, isk running in Empire so if you are doing this for Isk only, don't bother.

The above is true on some market items but caldari tags alone will aid your mission rewards massively.

for example Navy armada, what high sec level 4 pays out just shy of 180mil for 30mins work. and this is very popular in the missions they give down there.

The lp is also around the 2.6k lp converions rate were as most high sec level 4s are farmed like crazy and are around 1.8k lp conversion. taking into account the area can be risky, its only noobs who get caught and killed, just mission smart and your as safe as any space.

especially in a tengu fitted correctly.

Like i said give me a shout and i can help you with fittings and best areas for operation.

If else fails or if life gets you down never ever retreat back to WOW. We will find you we will kill you and then you will probably just buy gold and be good again.
