This thread pleases me.

I represent nullsec, hisec greifers, and anyone else who understands that EVE is a place for war and murder, not safety and weakness. As it happens, the voice of my constituents is far louder than the OP's cry for help; that is why I am the Chairman.

That I scam, kill, and gank and conquer are all reasons why my constituents feel that I represent their viewpoints accurately, and voted for me in the first place.

As for my RL, I was once an attorney in DC, but I retired and moved to Wisconsin last year.

You also seem to be pretty full of yourself..
And to me that rhymes bad with having a position within the CSM.

Where you find a humble leader, you'll also find your politicians who 'represent everyone'.

Good luck in your search.

Do you realize that this is basically what Hitler (the chancellor of Germany btw 1933 and 1945) was saying ?

CSM is NOT meant to represent the playerbase as a whole.

CSM is meant to represent the part of the playerbase that cares about the direction of the game, and of the bigger picture.

This is why there are no hisec caebears on the CSM, they only care about their little world.

0.0 players are the ones who vote, and therefore control the CSM.

You don't like it, do something about it.

I think Mittens is awesome.

Not surprising.

apparently all you have to do is lightly poke highsec (as a whole) and it turns into literally a bottomless fountain of tears.

you should try it.

And the only reason Test is even involved is because G()ns would kick you clean out of Fountain if you do not comply with their demands. How very democratic....

WRONG

The purpose of the CSM is to represent society interests to CCP. This requires active engagement with the player community to master EVE issue awareness, understanding, and evaluation in the context of the “greatest good for the greater player base”. The scope of issues is restricted only to EVE, its ongoing development, and limited meta (out-of-game) issues which have direct relevance to the EVE universe. It is important to keep in mind that the CSM will not have formal powers within CCP, they will have a voice inside CCP.

you dont really GET politics or meta-gaming, do you?

Apparently the greater good of the playerbase was effectively and correctly represented when The Mittani recieved over 5000 votes putting him clearly and stunningly ahead of everyone else in the election. By the very nature of the CSM as a political structure, The Mittani is rightfully the chairman of CSM6. His ability to use his Alliance to torment hisec and the general masses existed long before his election to CSM6, however only now it apparently comes with the tag of 'abusing his privileged.' Heads up: It doesn't. It does in your mind because you want it too.

GSF had an exit poll system for the election; I received approximately 1700 votes from within my alliance out of my total of 5365. Sorry to destroy your tinfoil with facts!

lol yeah and the alliance alts...please dont try your manipulation tactics on me - it dont work...

The exit poll accounted for that. Sorry!

Are you stupid, you the poll knew all alts of all accounts, and all alts in other corps and alliances affiliated with goon account

Dont talk rubbush...

Your telling me that ccp checked all those 1700 goon accounts to see if they had alts that had voted, and checked if they had seconds and third accounts with alts that voted... yeah ofc course they did.

They are. The problem is that a lot of players couldn't care less about being part of that “society“. That's their problem, not a problem with the CSM
Quote:
This requires active engagement with the player community
It also requires active engagement from the community to vote in the people who will represent and carry the issues they feel are important.

Also…

The problem i have with Mittani as the head of the CSM is that he is a high-profile alliance leader, and i doubt that he would agree with changes for the sake of balance, if said changes were to somehow interfere with his own alliance, or disagree with changes that would affect his enemies more than it would his own ally. He cannot have an impartial opinion on most subjects he deals with as a CSM member.

But unfortunatly that is in the nature of the CSM election. Besides being chairman doesnt mean he gets the final word, only that he gets to pass it on. This CSM has some very good members, like seleene and white tree, and i trust their judgement.

This is foolish and uninformed. Goonswarm has one of the largest supercap fleets in the game, as well as some of the largest technetium holdings. I've vehemently advocated for nerfing both, loudly and in public.

You're welcome to spew your tinfoil theories though.

On these matters, yes you have and i applaud that. But those were the obvious/easy ones. Besides like i said my main concern is that you are a high-profile alliance leader and wether you want or not, you get exposed to NDA data that might in more cases than not give you an unfair advantages over your adversaries. I.E you might know in advance about a nerf or buff that the NDA forbids you from discussing, but can't keep you from planning in advance with much more time than other alliances.

As an example, right know you might know for a fact that Tech is getting nerf and in what way its getting nerfed, therefore you have much more time to adapt your own alliance than your tech-holding adversaries will have, when that information gets public.

And with you being bound by the NDA, you can do nothing but give your own word that the information you are handling does not give you an unfair advantage.

So again i don't see a problem with you, as a person, being the chairman of the CSM. And i also don't see a problem with you being the fearless leader of Goonswarm. I see a problem with you being both.

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

My leadership model in Goonswarm is much more based on Stalin. But last week some hisec miner compared me to Osama Bin Laden because I dropped my Brutix on his Mackinaw and blew it up, so I'll accept your insult in the tear-stained spirit of anguish it was given.

It'd be really cool if you could dismiss legitimate counter-points by just saying 'Goon alt' or something like that but luckily we can't because we're not inherently stupid on a fundamental level.

.........................He didn't do anything wrong.

I'm not even a vet, and I know that Mittani, while he is a complete ass in the game, is a vocal proponent of............. everything that enhances gameplay really.

Scamming with his title, griefing & accomplishing his own ends is exactly what everyone else does, don't make a special plea for CSM personnel. If somebody trusts someone to begin with, they're doing it wrong.

The pie is a tautology

just to exemplify this with some history:

Remember when the clusterfuck coalition decided to destroy the NC alongside the russians, and how it recently killed Morsus Mihi's attempt at Delve sov? Yeah, that was all Montolio. Goons were actually kinda pissed at us for a little bit over that, but followed us into that war. Goonswarm may be the dominant power in the CFC, but they are not the only driver.

I'm one of the most well known players in the game, I've written a popular column on Tentonhammer for years, and I have a lot of people who - while they may not like me personally - believe that my particular methods are effective in getting CCP to do what is best for EVE.

If you can't understand that, well - you're probably a victim, the kind of fool who gets scammed out of a supercap.
