So your saying the CSM DOES NOT represent the eve player base as a whole? Because if that is true then the CSM is a lie and should be disbanded immediately.

and if it does not, then how are all the players in eve being represented? they are not!!!

You have just made it clear that each CSM are just out to get whats best for their voters (in other words their alliance)

Because no one else voted for you. This makes the CSM even more of a joke then...

How can the CSM represent every single player and their individual concerns? You're basically asking the impossible.

The CSM as a whole represents the voting part of the playerbase as a whole. Each CSM rep represents his/her constituents.

Of course not. They didn't vote. No vote = no representation. That's their problem.

What part of this is confusing to you?

Luckily for the endless multitudes of babies who incessantly whine about the CSM, next year you'll have the opportunity to change the way the CSM is built, and an equal opportunity to whine incessantly about how that CSM isn't representing your interests either.

NO NO the CSM is supposed to be the voice of ALL the players not just those who voted. That is open to all kinds of abuse! and if thats the case please post the official rule saying this is the case and CSM does not represent the player base as a whole..

GSF had an exit poll system for the election; I received approximately 1700 votes from within my alliance out of my total of 5365. Sorry to destroy your tinfoil with facts!

That I scam, kill, and gank and conquer are all reasons why my constituents feel that I represent their viewpoints accurately, and voted for me in the first place.

As for my RL, I was once an attorney in DC, but I retired and moved to Wisconsin last year.

And to me that rhymes bad with having a position within the CSM.

apparently all you have to do is lightly poke highsec (as a whole) and it turns into literally a bottomless fountain of tears.

you should try it.

One successful scam and bam - you'll never pay for EVE, unlike other MMOs which ding your credit card every month like clockwork. I haven't paid for an EVE subscription in more than a year, and I have four accounts; that'd be 60 bucks a month if I wasn't an honorless griefing metagamer.

Wrong. If you didn't vote your opinion is moot. You had a chance to change the outcome of the election and you ignored it. You don't get the whine about it if you can't be bothered to change it. Again, you can't represent everyone. It's not possible. Real politics don't work this way, why should fictitious internet politics work this way.

or you know, they shut up and unsub, or go back to being an indy in highsec, but i realy doubt they will even vote next year, they seem like one of thsoe people that would rather not vote and then complain about who gets elected and then tell all their friends about how the other guy was ebtter (you knw, the other candidate they ddint vote for either?)

i still haven't seen any specific instances of Mittani abusing his CSM position that the fault can't be layed entirely on the victim's naivety and stupidity.

Where you find a humble leader, you'll also find your politicians who 'represent everyone'.

Good luck in your search.

and before people accuse TEST of voting for The Mittani: White Tree was our candidate. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of the CSM got a lot more than just their alliance vote.

So... you're telling me your experiences in DC have greatly helped your success in EVE as a scammer, politician and griefer.

Not surprising.

No they're not. They're just an elected representative body like all elected representative bodies — as a whole, they represent the totality of voters, and individually, the represent their respective constituents.

WRONG

The purpose of the CSM is to represent society interests to CCP. This requires active engagement with the player community to master EVE issue awareness, understanding, and evaluation in the context of the “greatest good for the greater player base”. The scope of issues is restricted only to EVE, its ongoing development, and limited meta (out-of-game) issues which have direct relevance to the EVE universe. It is important to keep in mind that the CSM will not have formal powers within CCP, they will have a voice inside CCP.

Oh no, GSF doesn't teach its newbies about honor and the true pubbie way of life!!!

If you can extract infinite money from the infinitely stupid then you should do it. Lets face it, EVE is blatantly Darwinian in this regard and if you want to deny it then you should probably quit EVE immediately.
