Ships to sell

Hi there,

I have ships to sell and I was thinking where could be a good place to sell beside big trading hubs. I thought about selling near low sec systems but don't really know where there are more fights therefore more ships needed.

Any advice would be more than welcome,

You could try using Dotlan Maps to look at the region you want to sell in. Looking at the 'Ships Killed' data will give you an idea of which systems see lots of 'splosions.

But note that a hull isnt much use without fittings, so people looking to replace will look for somewhere they can get both (usually a hub).

Check out the smaller trade hubs for prices you'd like on your merchandise.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

^^ This

This is where eve kill can come in handy. Look at what ships have died and what they had fitted. use that to build a stocking list for a station. Fill it. You don't need to be the cheapest for everything in the region. just in that station, and cheap enough over all that people use you.

Only thing I'd add is that your manufacturing and researching (and probably trading) skills really need to be maxed to make much of a profit. You need to eliminate waste from your manufacturing chain at all levels to be competitive, because you're selling against people who are offering stuff in huge bulk and can afford to sell nearly at (or even below) cost. You might invest in a hisec POS where you can do research and manufacturing without paying the NPC tax.

The other advantage of manufacturing in a highsec pos is the time multiplier. Most will mean you manufacture in 75% of the time. Which isn't to be sneezed at, really.

Sure, you'll be paying more (probably) than high-sec station manufacturing, but if you'd have been pulling in 100k isk/hr per slot, you'll instead be pulling in 133,333 isk/hr per slot.

With a small pos costing you 100 mill a month, that's 3 mill a day (yes, I'm rounding. deal with it). or 125k isk per hour. so just 4 lines has you breaking even. and a small pos can easily support a lot of assembly arrays. (150cpu per array. Caldari small tower is 1875 cpu. 90k pg, tower provides 687k pg. so 7 equipment arrays. which is 42 lines)

untrue i regulary make 100 - 3000% on station trading items.
