Mutual War - Fix needed.

This system is broken. Is abused and misused.
Gives nothing positive to game play in current 'version'.

My suggestion - make it a role-play element only :
- When declaring a war you have additional check box : propose mutual war for offender
- Defender have the same checkbox on their side : accept mutual war.

If both sides accept this :
- cost of war is nothing
- both sides have ability to "uncheck" mutual war tick box at any time and the mutual War will end in 24h(or more). War have to be at least 1 week 'old' in order to do this.

If someone will be interested in keeping the war he/she can always declare classical war, and pay for it.

If some Dev want information how this can be misused , and abused - please send a PM.

Maybe you should have kept paying the war fee if you wanted control of when to end it.

If you choose to go Mutual, then you should accept the consiquences of having to have both sides agree to end the war.


I am guessing this is what this thread is about. You got yourself into a war that you didnt want to pay for, and now you can't get out.

You dont pay for a mutual war.
It is for free.

And yes we have a mutual war:
- over one month old
- 0 kills on any side ( they don't want to fight, an when we find one - he hides)
Recently they did something with this war - for what in my opinion they should get banned :), as there is apparently a big hole in this system. And there will no more targets to shoot at.

What is the point of this kind of mutual war?
0 PVP
No fun
No isk payed for a war.
No, significant impact - when we go to sleep, they wake up...

On behalf of the The Alpha and The Omega I just wanted to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconveniences you have been suffering from in regards to the war dec system.

As an FYI the droids you are looking for have been in C-PEWN for the last 2 months. I know it is really hard for C0ven to pull all of their resources out of Niarja but if you had eso-scout up at all I am sure that you would have noticed the cries for help from your rentiers/pets.

To best handle the current situation I would strongly suggest that you put your polish sausages down and get to "The Pewn" ASAP. It should only take 2/3 of your alliance about 6 month to get the current outbreak of P-INS under control.

In the future it is strongly suggested that you take some precautions to avoid catch what we affectionately call war dec AIDS. While it is unclear of what the original purpose of war dec AIDS was it is clearly very catchy. I would strongly suggest that in the future to avoid future outbreaks that you stop sucking on botters' tatas.

OP needs to learn that pride can be a dangerous thing... and sometimes you really do need to negotiate with the enemy.

If you'd like me to start hunting you in empire space, I can most certainly do that. Frankly, you should be happy we haven't killed anyone yet. Because having seen your pitiful 10-man freighter escorts, it would be super lulsy to show them the futility of their services.

Why, just the other day I was in a PvE Dominix in Domain and some little C0VEN Manticore tries to decloak and tackle me on the other side of a gate after jumping through with me. The only problem was, he was 15km away with a scram fitted. Now, I could have ripped him a new ******* before he could even think about warping away, but I figured I'd take the cautious route and dock up and go grab a ship I knew could handle whatever else might be waiting for me. And what did I find when I returned? Nothing. I did him a favor and gave him a chance to flee, and he did. You owe me a Manticore with a scram on it, now. Assholes.

You seriously think that we care about you :D , no wonder that some people laugh that you actually thinking that you " do something BAD".
During all our wars you only sit on the station or hide, and believe me! you are good at this :)
We live in different time zone and if you log when Coven is online ... i know , cloak is a fine thing!, but why are trying to overheat it?
We went for you to higsec, we sit for few days near Amarr waiting on you. Your rules - this is a higsec, you can bring PVP , and noobcorp logistics friends ...
Oh, well you actually did something good, and we are thankful for this.
You offered us a mutual war - many, and believe when i say this, many people are glad of this situation - as if we are already in the war - nobody say NO to new wars.

Still the mutual war mechanic is broken. We simply want you to pay for the war if you don’t want to fight, and btw - you know that we live in diffrent timezone ? Right?

Hmm , i see that you didn’t notice it. (I should read all your replies.)

Let me explain :
Earth is round and we live on different sides of it.
When you have night , we have a day - fascinating , isn’t it?
And i will tell you another secret - probably biggest secret in c0ven.
We are OLD! Yes! Yes!
We have families, kids, work etc, 95% of our players activates their accounts only when a big "thing" is coming.
We play for fun, and if a group of 12yo think that we will play hide and seek with them - well we have one more thing we can laugh :) And when people read what did you cried here - there will be more fun, much more.
Reinters? You did a good thing - kill some bots. This is a nullsec, and when you are near - less and less ships are lost.

And no - we didn’t escort this freighter , he was flying AFK :) and we were camping gate for war targets :) ( not you , your Helios , pilot panicked so much that he lost a probe! :D , he should put his cloak away from probe launcher! )

Still this is a suggestion about broken ingame system, so if you want to cry - please send me or anybody in c0ven, or start somewhere a new thread - please pm me a link.

No, we don't live in a different timezone. Lot's of Polish people have moved to Ireland, and the UK, so I know the timezones are pretty much the same. 75% of our corp is in this TZ. Maybe we have jobs and families too. Check your facts before being presumptuous.

Sorry, didn't launch probes when I landed on your camp, with freighter landing on the gate, and my ship jumped on through so I could go about my Jita business. Impotent effort at trolling, must try harder.
