WTF are they thinking, they fix hybrids so they compete very well vs all others and now they are basically crapping on the last good missile group in the game.

You will be killing ALL MISSILES IN PVP FROM CRUISER UP TO DREADS, Hell they can make tracking blap dreads, oh yeah not caldari missiles, they can snipe with missiles, yeah if you wnna wait the 15-25 secs and do it in a paper thin slow ass raven that can be instapoped by a Rokh or Mael fleet. But its ok we will beat them up close with torps right? Wrong.....YOU ARE KILLING AND HAVE KILLED ALL PVP use for missiles.

Hams need a boost to tracking and DPS and are the only weapons now that have worse tracking than there long range bro`s but thats not HML`s fault.

Also currently Ravens are totally useless with both Cruise and Torps, which both need upgrades as well.

So instead of fixing any of this, they nerf the 1 group that is working well.

Hell my alliance doesnt use HML`s outside Tengu`s but im still pissed.

Please CCP for the love of god fix missiles so they are usable besides Stealth Bombers.

And make the Ravens tank and the Rohks reversed. WTF do you give a insta DMG sniper platform like the Rohk 160k EHP and the Raven that relies on Missiles that take time to hit and apply DMG a weak tank to die before there missiles land?

Caldari`s main weapons are missiles so WTF do all our highend ships use Hybrids?

Why make missiles long range when they are so much better at close range? Why make cruises 250km range when it takes 30 secs to hit a damned target and a 100 man Rokh fleet killed 10 of your ships in that time?

Merlin should be like Hawk not Harpy
Moa should be like Caracal with big tank and bonus to HAMS
Drake is right except double its bonus to HAMS while halving HML`s instead of killing the weapons themselves.
Just like all the other T3 BS`s make the Rokh a MISSILE BOAT/Brawler

Abby=Brawler
Mael=Faster Brawler with Alpha capability
Hyp=Brawler with HUGE DPS
Rokh=Sniper and uses our secondary racial weapons type????

I have heard so much about making ships more uniform and fixing there roles etc, well fix this, BS`s are some of the most important classes in the game and Caldari aside from 1 sniper fit sucks ass.

Hams are only weapons system where the close range one has worse tracking and not much better DPS, but its not because HML`s are so great, its because HAMS suck right now compared to ACS`s/Blasters and Pulses.

Ravens unlike Tempests are slow sluggish beasts with only missiles as options, 1 of which you need to be at 100km + to use and they still suck at DPS and take 10+ Secs to hit target [by then they can warp off] or 2 need to be so close at 20km that there big slow ass with very little tank is dead, because its in point range.

So stop telling us you are balancing ships but really slowly making Missiles totally useless in now both PVP and PVE, before the excuse was Missiles are PVE....Well now they arent, Hybrids are back to being great ACS is great and switches DMG and Pulses have Scorch. Also all T2 Ammo is pretty much fixed now.

Please you either leave HML`s alone and dont nerf them or completely revamp all of missiles and make Caldari what it is....a MISSILE RACE....just as Gal is Blasters then drones, So is Caldari Missiles then Hybrids...Otherwise take missiles out of the game if they are gonna be so useless.

Sorry for writing im pissed on an IPHONE after reading the Mittani on the HML nerf.

I miss the days when Cruises could hit frigs :) admittedly OP, but I get your point. As if now the only time I get to use a Caldari ship is Tengu and that will change now as well.

They are the only Dreads terrible for making them track so you right no blap.

All there ships with 25% Resist are Hybrid which really is owned by Gal and since Range is a shield, I wish Cald could have Hybrids for long range missiles for short, but make missiles badass. Torps IMO should be the highest DPS ships in game, higher than Blasters since there tracking is way worse, also Cruises should move at 2x speed to actually use them.

I agree Caldari Missiles ships are a bad breed of low speed 0 Fall-off and medicore DMG even the Shortrange ones, and the long range missiles have better tracking than short range.

I wish Missiles had a range at which there tracking was the best then like a fall off the tracking got terrible, it is stupid that in space they just stop, gameplay wise as well. Or make them niche and have Torps do some sort of AOE DMG.

Point is we dont use Drakes but killing HML`s kill`s alot of other ships like the caracal that has paper tank will die with no range and really should become the "Brawler", same with Kestrel make it the 25% resist and give it huge Rocket DMG

I agree CCP has always hated missiles for PVP, maybe because they wanna limit lag but, they need to find a way to stay true to Caldari`s "Missiles number 1" while having them stay relevant in PVP, right now they arent at all, look at the Lol Raven. And your fact about cruises was funny, its true I cant remember last time I saw a cruise missile in PVP.

All they will do is make Tengu PVE`ers go to CNR`s and PVP will never see a missile again....Thin kabout what you are doing CCP. And I have no reason to defend Drakes as my side hates them. But if you remove 2 huge fleet ships like the Drake and Tengu you better add 2-3 more serious fleet ships to make up for it, ships like the T raven where if you are within 25km you are dead and make them track based on range, afterall in space if they ran ou of fuel they would still moveforward just not be able to correct course, AKA tracking.

Your gonna **** off alot of subscribers with this.

Im no Bear but, in a game with Missiles, it certainly doesnt offer much in the way of PVP for them does it?

And the one ship abused so much because only 1 Missile ship is viable is the reason this is coming about.
Also Tengu fleets arent carebears. I wish they would make missiles more challenging but if you are gonna make them blow just remove them from game.

Also his whole post was about PVP, where did you see PVE?

While im glad newbs will have to learn how to really fight, i am sad that CCP hasnt made missiles a proper fighting tool yet.

Lol to GSF/CFC and the like now you will have to try to counter us with our own ship types :)

What have you been drinking... Missiles do not have tracking... They have explosion velocity. Hybrids and not "second-grade" weapon system for Caldari, they have plenty of Hybrids ships so calling them a missile race is misleading. They excel better at range than Gallente usually, and are often bonused towards this as well.

Missiles have good points just as they have bad points as well. If you don't like the flight time maybe you should train up for some turrets? If you use missiles you just try to keep as high transversal as possible, as it does not affect how your missiles hit their target.

@Kail Storm: Torps used to have AoE and was perhaps the most OP thing in the game at the time. It would be like firing smartbombs that explode around the target.

The big point is that it's yet another rebalance, or nerf, or whatever. I just don't see the point complaining to CCP about it. Today it's HMLs. Tomorrow, maybe projectiles. The next day, maybe it'll be lasers. Who knows? We'll adjust fleet doctrines and move on.

The mighty nerf bat strikes randomly and perhaps without reason. I'll save my nerdrage for other things. Until then, delicious tears.

Since when was Caldari a missile race? Caldari have always had at least as many rail platforms as gun platforms.

That aside, other missiles aren't really as bad as you think. Rockets are fine, Light missiles are getting a buff to damage, and HAMs have their niche. Admittedly things get strange once you get to BS and up sized missiles, I feel like torpedoes should have a longer base range than HAMs, and cruise missiles do like what, 4 dps?

Don't worry I'm sure cruise missiles will be nerfed next. I mean seriously they have like totally such long range and stuff yo.. 2 dps!!

No one outside of the dev team knows exactly how the Drake will look after the re-balancing. So, save your teeth gnashing and shirt rending for then. You've been crying all over Ships and Modules about how CCP is nerfing "your" Drake.

The thing that amazes me is how people always claim that their race is somehow precluded from PVP due to ****** game mechanics that always stack up against them. They say that you can't PVP in a missile ship, yet I do so regularly. I still have 2x as many kills in Drakes as I do in all other ships combined - and every single one of those is solo/small gang.

Furthermore, with the TE/TC changes incoming I'm fairly confident that missiles will be better in PVP than ever before. Yeah, so you won't be able to use a long range weapons system like it's short range, but that's a good thing.

1. Didn't read that at all.
2. The HML nerf is well deserved in relation to other medium LR weapon systems, although all the turrets (particularly rails) could use a buff. I suspect the HML nerf is more of a quick hotfix rather than a long term solution as CCP pretty much has to revisit medium LR weapons eventually.
3. I'm glad you think you're special enough to start another thread for this.
4. With TEs/TCs affecting missiles (something that I'm not particularly sold on, especially allowing TDs to disrupt missile boats), HAMs just got way, way meaner. Once these buffs go through, the "new" HAM drake will be far meaner than any of the old HML drakes for all applications except large fleet warfare.

Learn to shoot straight and fly a real ship.

Their damage level offsets the fact that it takes no effort to land a quality hit.
