What are the ISK sink in EVE?

I can name a few.

1.) Skill Books
2.) BPOs
3.) Clones
4.) Sov Costs
5.) Some Items from the LP store

That's all that I can think of...

I know some people would include ship losses as an isk sink, I do not. I believe it and all other inventory losses should be considered mineral/material losses. When a ship is blown up isk does not leave the game. In fact, isk is injected into the game (insurance) while minerals are removed. If you bought that ship from some one, he/she still has your isk. You just no longer have their minerals.

Here we go again!

Insurance is a net faucet. All payouts are greater than all payins.

And lost fittings and ships are not an ISK sink. The money you paid for them is still in someone else's wallet.

That's assuming all insured ships always get blown up, which means, we don't know, CCP's the only one who can say.

double poast! my bad.

ISK sink : cash (ISK) removed from the economy, not from your pocket.
ISK faucet : cash (ISK) added into the economy, not to your pocket.

Bills - alliance, corp, offices, blue standings ... No wait too soon

Not sure I'm believing the guy aboves concept of a sink.

ISK sent to npcs just sinks
ISK spent on things sold by players did not sink, resurfaced elsewhere

Perhaps it's just me though.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Well since "CONCORD doesn't prevent, they punish" applies, it's not so much a protection fee as a mandatory mercenary contract to a company with a 100% guaranteed success rate & amazingly good response time.

It's not an assumption. More money is paid out in ship losses than is taken in as insurance premiums. Although dated the last Quarterly Economic Report demonstrates this fact. Also, dated though it is, there have not been significant changes to insurance payouts or ship destructions since the report was issued that would change the ratio to a net sink from a faucet.
