There was a time when i recommended Eve-Uni to clueless noobs. Not anymore.

I am not on top of what eve-uni does, but i recall their CEO advocating game changes that would have diminished pvp and would have changed the nature of the game in a very bad way. In my opinion an organisation such as this should prepare new players for the game as it is (a harsh environment), not use the organisation to lobby at CCP (for a kindergarden in highsec).

If you get political, you make enemies and loose your special status. So i guess you now have to suck it up like any other entity in the game.

So, aren´t you TELLING your recruits during their interview that you are at war and what this portends? And make sure they actually understand the consequences if they still want to join?

If not, your recruitment staff is not doing a very good job.
If you do, those "noobs" (that is an insulting term, btw) did so willingly and knowingly.

Also, isn´t there supposed to be a bogus-corp just for those Unistas to join that do not want to take part in a war but still take part in the classes and general social interaction of E-Uni?

Last time I checked it was still forbidden to publicly insult other players; "be polite to everyone within and without E-Uni", or something like this it went, iirc.

Now, I am not a friend of perma-wardecs (another argument for having the cost raise by, say 20% each week), nor do I take the claim of "teaching Unistas how to PvP" seriously, but you are NOT doing E-Uni a favor with your postings here.

Your ranting is equally void of arguments and insulting, both to E-Uni and your wardeccers, in the war for sympathy, you are not winning; it also goes against your own code of conduct.

EvE Uni does not have a problem with being war dec'd, they have always welcomed it.
Errr... I don't think that is quite right. I don't really care one way or another in this little tussle, but let's call a spade a spade. E-Uni made excessive use of mutual wars to dec shield themselves in the past. Which indicates that they did indeed have a few problems with being dec'd.... And is probably also a large contributor to why so many people that want their heads now... And is also probably the reason why E-Uni is so completely unprepared for war now... So no, they did not welcome it. They ran from it. And now that it's caught up with them they have to deal with it plus interest.

And on a sidenote. Bumped into an E-Uni guy about a week or so ago. New player, was pretty cool, helped him out for a bit. He convo'd me today. Apparently he got kicked from E-Uni a couple days ago for losing a hauler during a war. Cuz that's what E-Uni is about these days - kicking noobs for being.... noobs. *facepalm*

Wow, this thread is a huge pile of misinformation, horrifically outdated information, some kind of sleep-walking/posting confusion and (what I have to hope is correct for my hope for humanity) pathetically bad trolling.

In rough order, and split up enough to avoid wall of text status:

Ferocious Fox is not a member of E-UNI. You can usually tell this by the "The Final Stand Inc" corporation listed her name, which is both spelt and pronounced differently to "EVE University". If you have problems with this, im sure we can put togther some kind of side by side comparison.

"First rule of EVE: I agree to PvP the moment I hit Undock."
Actually, you agree to PvP the moment you created your account. You don't need to even be logged in to PvP, and even when you are, theres still the markets.

"You guys don't teach PVP you manufacture blob idiots for null sec."
A simple look at our killboard and the number of involved people in each kill makes it pretty clear that theres much less blobbing than you seem to think. Maybe if you cared to go to losec or null, you'd see this happening?

"as lame as wardeccing a rookie training corp is, it's a perfectly legit source of 'pvp' for the skilless HS wardec mod."
Agreed. They pay their ISK, and they then have the option of PvP without Concord/SecStatus changes. The majority of those who have wardecced us since Inferno have paid the ISK but instead decided to just pick off those not paying attention. No loss there.

"Then I woke up, saw the EVEuni killboard and aww sh!t"
You seem to be a little confused there. Care to demonstrate where this can be found on our killfeed? Maybe its part of your dream? That would explain why it seems to show missioning and inductrial activity. WTB URL for this magical killboard.

"...lovely CEA well known to love the idea of transforming highsec in a consensual pvp area."
Why thank you, you're quite lovely too. You do seem to be still dreaming though.

"WE COULD BE WARDEC'D, LET'S RUN TO THE DECSHIELD HILL"
You're still dreaming. The DecShield never actually made it difficult to declare war, just a bit more expensive - not much more than it currently costs to wardec TEST or the Goons in fact.

"multi-year-old-toon-that-has-never-been-out-of-Uni-and-thinks-is-awesome"
We have a few characters who have been in the Uni for years, myself included, but theyre almost all in staff/management positions. Everyone has alts, though...

"all eve uni teaches is that solo pvp is impossible"
This is my favourite line so far. Its not impossible, but its very easy to become outnumberd, especially when you happen to declare war on someone 100x your size. But of course, the members of U-MAD seem to be demonstrating that "solo PvP" is impossible as they have to have at least 3-4 guys on every industrial gank. Lead by example, perhaps? Noir. never had much of a problem taking on Uni fleets 10x their size.

"I lost all respect for Eve Uni when they started working with Test."
We have never worked with TEST. A group of E-UNI Alumni within TEST provided a load of reources to us for a pilot program. No resources were provided to them, not even intel, while they even provided us access to their jump bridge network to reach NPC null.

"...fix EVE pvp by killing blobers..."
You'll probably find that bombs work pretty well for this. Oh, wait... theyre only available in nullsec. You may want to try going there sometime - it can be quite interesting.

"That's an accurate definition of all the bitter vets hiding in EVEuni."
Names please, and I'll look at kicking them. Assuming you're not still dreaming...?

"couldn't you just permablob them into a station or something?"
Yep, we could. However, they then go AFK, attempt to smack in local (badly, and we're actually looking at adding proper Trolling classes) and then log off. The thing is though, they arent a threat to anyone who is paying attention (Underlined for Awesome).

"...we do EVE University a service. We help their members rid themselves of useless ships like mining barges..."
Close, but not quite. As mentioned, the current wardecs are only a threat to those members who don't pay attention, who then lose their ships, and either learn to pay attention, or just ragequit. Less work for us either way.

"We've even considered starting a U-MAD Newb Training School"
Please do. I'll even refund the 1.6 million ISK to form the corp, and freely bump it up to 6300 members to save you messing with corp skills.

"I thought the point of E-U was teaching newbies how the game works, and war decs are part of the game."
Yep, they are and yes, we do teach them, although it can be a challenge to explain how dangerous things can be with their first few days. It's akin to tying an anvil to someones ankle and throwing it off a bridge into a river, but it works for a few. There may be a small number of drowning incidents...

"And their teachings are killing pvp."
Yet, we have a Guest FC program, and Guest Classes, and ~2000 people willing to learn. You could consider teaching, but that would require some proven skills other than ganking?

"I joined this corp for pew... Im soo poor i cant even afford rifters."
I've heard of a corp who can help with that. They give out free ships and skillbooks and stuff.

"I honestly just want [some FCs] heads. After I slay them I'll be happy."
You know you're playing EVE, right? You can shoot them even when not at war, or on an alt. Same way we can gank OOC boosters, RR and so on when they arent flagged.

"[something about cats?] ... [horrific grammar?]"
Seriously now, you should wake up. Youre mumbling into your keyboard.

"why is Dewa Cinta's vagabond shooting rockets?"
Thats a very good question. We have classes to help with that. They're freely available to all.

"advocating game changes that would have ... changed the nature of the game in a very bad way."
Details please? Unless youre looking at that magical Killboard. In which case, just link the URL.

"aren´t you TELLING your recruits during their interview that you are at war and what this portends?"
We have them read and interprate what our "how not do die in a wardec" guide says in the application, and when they join, its clear to they we are at war.

"isn´t there supposed to be a bogus-corp just for those Unistas to join that do not want to take part in a war ... ?
Yes, its called "any other corp". For a long time, we've provided ~90% of our live training resources to everyone who has ever been in E-UNI. Theres no requirement at all to stay in the corp once someone has passed the interview.

"Apparently he got kicked from E-Uni a couple days ago for losing a hauler during a war."
Actually, its closer to kicking people who repeatedly fail to pay attention, for their own safety. He's clearly much better off only having to worry about suicide ganks if he doesn't want to take the couple of hours to train an alt hauler.

"but even with their massive number, EVEuni is getting farmed"
And yet, after 4 months of it, we're still here, the members are still learning, and we're still holding our own in actual fights.

tl;dr - Don't declare war on someone 100x your size, and then complain when they bring "too many" people, just fight competently and you can actually be a threat, even to those people paying attention.

Man you high sec scrubs are pretty observant. Actually I joined to awox which was pretty successful. tbh even killing cyno frigs in 0.0 requires infinitely more skill then what you queers do. You see; I fly around a region in which everyone can actually shoot at me.

You fly around easy mode space in which only the people you choose can shoot back. naturally you choose the most incompetent groups of players you can possibly find. This is understandable; it isn't much fun trying to play against people who will actually put up a decent fight. You'd have to dock up your instalocking alpha ships and switch to real pvp ships and you probably don't know how those work.

Just admit it; your whole corp are **** tier gankers that just pop shuttles and noobships on undocks.

Check the UNI boards I have never ever lost a ship personally to them since the start of these war dec games. Despite chasing their silly little BCs around that outnumber me 10 to 1.

The ships they use are too useless and the traps are too easy to spot and used constantly (some guy who normal runs for his life suddenly has balls to attack on a station).

I just want the leadership's pods because they are the ones who throw the n00bs out there to be a buffer for themselves. If I actually can get a fight out the uni in a said 10 vs 1 fight I can never get to the leaders because they disengage after they realize they can't hurt me and have lost a few tackles.

Lol this guy is just stupid I have nothing else to say really. "Everyone can shoot at me but I fly a run away frig?" I guess ignoring all the 0.0 kills we had just this past month and all the ones before that because now that we are in high sec we never have been to null. Seems the thought logic of most eve players. I was in NCDOT I was in Burn Eden. I left mainly because I got tired of the null sec blobbing and Burn Eden's inactivity at the time.

Lets see less than a month ago in stain I soloed a hurricane who thought he was pro for being in a null sec. What made him pro you ask? Well he had a cyno and he thought that made him boss. After cynoing in a chimera and realizing hey fighters don't work on a guy with half a brain I proceeded to solo him in front of his carrier while it was giving him shield reps. Something your garbage ass would have immediately ran from judging by the crap u fly.

Sorry, anyone who has applied to E-Uni knows it takes at least a week just to get through the application/interview process, during which they are made fully aware of any War Dec situation and what restrictions to carebearing they will be under if they still want to join. In addition, leaving the Uni during wartime has never been a problem, and they can still stay in contact and have access to the learning tools they need until they decide to return. If the dec is 6 months old, the "week old" players only have themselves to blame.
