Hello there, fellow EVEers. I started playing EVE about a month ago, and have bought a couple of PLEX, and sold them.. (Not afraid to admit I bought PLEX). After a bit of playing, I joined an alliance. The alliance seemed so vast, I got lost very easily, and the requirments to get out of the rookie corp. After awhile, I thought to myself, "Why cant I just start a corp of my own? I'm sure I could find some willing partners, and sponsors.." That's why I'm here today. I want at least 4 dedicated, willing players to be the commanders of a large alliance. There will be 4 corps, 4 leaders (this is why I want 4 people). Mak'n-Jack Mining will be a corp focused completely on funding the corp. Whether we sell the made minerals or use them, this will be where all the mining happens inside the corp. Then there'll be the 4th Division. The 4th will be where all the fighting happens, it's where the Dreadnoughts manufactured will be put into use, and stuff'll get blown up. Getting on the Freeway is possibly the most important of all the corps. It's where new recruits will be trained to get into the 4th division, and where they train the skills needed to get the ships they need for the 4th. Speaking of ships, that reminds me: We will be Gallente based, in most things, like ships and weaponry and stuffs. The final corp is Manufactoring Machos. This is where Hauling, trading, and manufacturing happens. The materials from the mining corp go here to be made into capital ships. Welp, as stated, I need a PVP specialist, a Manufacturing specialist, Mining, and Recruiting, and so-on.. I hope this succeeds. If not, the 4th division will still be up, as I am determined to make it. G'bye

Sounds like you have a plan, I wish you luck and I hope you're not dissuaded by the negative attention this topic will likely attract.

space democracies never work

splitting an alliance into an "industrial" corp and a "PvP" corp or whatever is silly because you give leverage to people who shouldn't have leverage to strongarm you with

Good luck with the idea, it won't get huge over night, if it does suspect spies. remember don't make anyone a director of [i]your[i]corp and dont give up at your first failure. I wish you luck

Large alliances aren't made, they happen.

The best you can do is start to establish a community. Hopefully you already have a decently sized group of people on board, otherwise of its just you and a couple dudes, it will never work.

If you actually manage to create a solid community, then it will grow on its own, as people will want to be a part of it. If you find yourself needing to convince people to join, you aren't heading in the right direction.

Eventually, real communities grow to the point where they have real pulling power. This just happens, it is never forced.

Then join a small, established community and start working on strengthening it. If you're a driving force in its progress, you'll surely end up owning a large chunk of it.

But there aren't any I know of.. Plus, since I'm still quite new, and I dont know if people will accept me quite as fondly as a billionare space miner. What?

On Tranquility join the recruitment channel find yourself a corporation with the same ideas, get together throw around some strategies, branch from there. There are plenty of pilots that want to have tech moons, pos's, capitals. hell if you make it half way work drop me a line.

ISK doesn't make communities, people do. And I assure you, there are plenty of small groups in highsec with a tight-knit core and lofty, seemingly unattainable dreams like owning their own wormhole or establishing themselves in couple nullsec systems.

The largest and most successful alliances in EVE are based on out-of-game communities. Websites, nationalities, etc. This means they got to skip the community building phase, as they already had a common identity to begin with. Since you want to start your own, you're gonna have to start small. This won't be easy and will take a lot of time.

Unfortunately despite what the CCP marketing says it doesn't seem like this game really has much room for aspiring Tony Montanas.

You can make it big, but consider that the players in most large alliances are 6+ years old. Its gonna be a long hard road to take.

I guess it already went down the drain that fast... Any of you willing to partner up for the 4th division?

I wouldn't be so quick to give up, you know what you want to do, so look for others already working to create something similar and work on it together.

Post something in this section and see what happens.

I know all about living in a wormhole, can be lucrative but you must keep it on the down low if it gets over populated like a class 2, then there isn't enough isk to go around. when you get to this point i can give you all the pointers you care for.
